Good card IMO although I could have went without seeing Diaz win.ah well I don't like the guy but can admit he's a great fighter.

I genuinely think it was on purpose. Remember the full cover two handed possum guard? He appeared to be well aware of Manhoefs power and looked like he was measuring for an opening IMO. If he wasn't thinking he would have just gone toe to toe. I dont think it was just mindless luck ala "hands of steel".

and also...cecil peoples says leg kicks dont finish fights? last night herschel walker ended that fight with armpit punches

Pretty sad when Ruthless Bob puts on the best example of defense all night. Some entertaining fights here, but no doubt in my mind that all of these guys would get killed in the UFC. I'm glad they have a legit organization in Strikeforce where they can put on a show and feel competitive.

I think CP might have oversold it when they said it might have been the best striking performance of diaz's career. He got dropped and outboxed a guy who really sucks at boxing. Marius' gameplan seemed to be to stay in range of diaz's punches while staying out of range for his own strikes. I'm no Greg Jackson, but if i was a guy who won his last three fights via headkick and i was fighting a guy with a longer reach my strategy probably wouldn't be to stand on the outside and whiff on haymakers all night.

Possibly he's the illigitimate lovechild of Kevin Bacon and Jack Skellington of A Nightmare before Christmas?

Props to Strikefarce for trying. Here is my problem with these fights...Strikefarce has some great fighters...FUKIT...Here is what needs to change.
Strikeforce get rid of the following:
All commentators(especially the dude that looks like kevin bacon/tales from the crypt) KEEP Mauro Ranallo
Loose the fireworks
Loose the ENTERTAINERS Keep the Talent
All fights sucked...I fast forwarded through most...

Everyone who thinks Lawler got lucky, come on now. The dudes been doing MMA for a long time. Manhoef has some heavy hands, and some hard kicks, but if he got taken down he'd be a lost puppy. I just can't get excited for Strikeforce. I mean, I was hoping to see Cyborg's cock spring to full erection when it first detected blood, but other than that it was just another Strikeforce MMA thing. And don't lie, you all wanted to see it too, just for the final confirmation that Cyborg does in fact have a penis.

The event was big on show, low on talent. Walker was a bit of a surprise, but let's see him against someone who can fight. If he takes on a name that's had at least 3 fights in the last 2 years, then he'll be doing something.

At first I thought Lawler was waiting to see if Manhoef would gas out and really didnt think he was gonna survive much longer with that game plan. Them leg kicks were just brutal. Proves you cant always judge a fight by who is getting hit the most.

I cant say that I am a Nick Diaz fan but, he showed some improved striking skillz tonight and you gotta give that kind of effort the credit it's due. He earned some respect from me tonight.
