#10: Ali Sonoma and Arianny Celeste Shoot for Muscle Pharm

Ali Sonoma is another UFC Octagon Girl Hall of Famer, and she’s never looked better than in this clip. When you see the photographer start to drone on and on, just skip to 2:37 for more Ali.

When you’re on a five-fight losing streak like former UFC light-heavyweight contender Keith Jardine, there’s two ways you can approach your situation. 1) You can take a few months off to completely re-assess your skills, weaknesses, and motivation. Or, 2) You can get back in the cage as soon as possible in a desperate attempt to wash off the stink of failure. The Dean of Mean, God help him, is going for option two.

Just two months after his demoralizing loss to Trevor Prangley at Shark Fights 13, Keith Jardine will take on Francisco "Kiko" France in the main event of "MMA Global Invasion," which will be held November 13 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. (Props to MMAFighting for the heads-up.) France is a 6-1 light-heavyweight who has claimed all of his victories by submission, including four by arm-triangle choke. He’s competed for various organizations in Missouri and Mississippi; most notably, he appeared on the undercard of Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery, where he finished Lee Brousseau by first-round rear-naked choke.

Ali Sonoma hasn’t been employed as a UFC ring girl since late 2007, but for some reason whenever this woman puts on a bikini, we still care deeply. MMA Fight Girls passes along a couple highlights from a recent GW Burns photo workshop that Ali participated in, which we’ve posted above along with a couple of recent additions to her ModelMayhem profile. Ali Sonoma (born March 9, 1985) is a former UFC Octagon Girl who worked for the promotion from 2006-2007. Born in St. Louis, Ali began modeling at the age of 16, and landed her UFC ring girl spot after competing in a UFC Octagon Girl Search contest in 2006. During her time with the UFC, she dated fighter Diego Sanchez. Ali Sonoma was a contestant on ABC’s The Mole following her exit from the UFC. She currently lives in Miami, where she continues to model profesisonally. She has been featured in Maxim, Muscle & Fitness, and Playboy, among other magazines.

Being a part of the full two-day shoot on October 3rd and 4th will set you back $449.95, but you can commit to just one day for $325.95. So if you’re a big Ali fan and don’t mind traveling to Colorado, here’s your chance to get up close and personal. I guess some photography experience is also a prerequisite, but you could always pretend that you’re an eccentric artist who will only shoot with a Canon Powershot. Now we just have to find out what Arianny Celeste and Logan Stanton will do for $400. Our guesses: Bikini boat companionship and babysitting.

Former UFC Octagon girl and Diego Sanchez-lover Ali Sonoma won the overall Arnold Amateur NPC Bikini Championship in Columbus, Ohio this week.  Apparently the women’s class was broken into two divisions: tall and short.  Simple enough, right?  Ali won the tall division (the woman who won the short one is standing next to her in the above picture, clearly envying Ali’s height), but also won the overall honors.  

Good thing, because judging from that picture she basically lived in a tanning bed for the last few weeks.  At least she didn’t go overboard, like some other people. 

Looks like times aren’t so hard for Ali after all, even if we’re still baffled by those pictures of her on the weird porn site.  Which we totally only looked at for research…um…professional purposes.  Try explaining that when your mom walks in, though.  Seriously, it was really uncomfortable and our relationship hasn’t been the same since.  But congratulations, Ali.

Tremendous props to Fightlinker for this find.  Not to be outdone by the semi-nude pictures of Arianny Celeste that hit the internet this week, former UFC Octagon girl and Diego Sanchez ex-girlfriend Ali Sonoma has a charming little layout of her own at the absolutely not safe for work (even if you work at a strip club) website, Girls of Desire, via some other site called Next Door Models.

So why is Ali in her bikini on a porn site?  Are there more pictures that are just as barely tasteful but without the bikini?  Are times really that hard for a girl who once proudly carried the UFC’s Octagonal round signs?  Is this the kind of future Logan Stanton has to look forward to?

These are the questions we just don’t have answers for right now.  What we do have, after the jump, are more pictures.  Let’s call these kind of safe work, assuming the people you work with are cool with you looking at a woman’s ass in a thong.  And if they aren’t, just quit right now.  You deserve better.

Well isn’t this a good morning! In an interview with Jarry Park, former Octagon Girl Ali Sonoma dropped the following bombshell regarding her maybe-fiancee Diego Sanchez:

AH: Are you and Diego still together?
AS: No, we decided to call it quits based on our careers. I will be away for months…we are still best friends, though. We talk everyday. I do and always will love him. He is on a different level of any guy I have ever met.

Congrats, gents! Your chances of dating Ali just went from “snowball’s chance in hell” to “snowball’s chance in Phoenix”! Sonoma also spoke about the UFC’s chilly reaction to her relationship with Sanchez:

If you were bummed that Octagon Girl Ali Sonoma was M.I.A. during UFC 78, prepare to be even more bummed — the 23-year-old model has put down her ring cards for good. According to a blog entry on her MySpace page:

“I am no longer a ring girl for UFC…I am proud to say I am moving up to bigger and better things. There is always a time when you get comfortable at a job…you seem to lose focus on what your main goal is…I guess I got a little comfortable myself, of course, I loved the fights, loved the experience, but my real dream is to actually speak on camera, to act, not just shake my booty for the crowd. (even though it was a lot of fun while it lasted and I met some amazing people)”
