Videos: Liddell vs. Overeem ‘Best of PRIDE’ Promo

(Props: UFC)

Spike TV’s new Best of PRIDE compilation series premieres this Friday at 10 p.m. ET/ 9 p.m. CT, and the UFC is plugging it online by releasing the above teaser fight from Total Elimination 2003 — and what a coincidence, it’s one that involves a UFC superstar beating the crap out of a current Strikeforce champion! Of course, Chuck Liddell vs. Alistair Overeem would probably play out a little differently today, particularly if it took place in a country that doesn’t test for horse-meat. Still, it’s interesting to see the Iceman take full advantage of those lovely PRIDE rules with some knees to Overeem’s dome on the ground. And as you can see from the Randleplex at the 3:55 mark, Fedor Emelianenko won’t be shut out of this thing just because Dana White hates his management. Don’t forget to set your DVRs…

After the jump: Nearly every active Brazilian MMA fighter and trainer wishes Wanderlei Silva good luck for his upcoming UFC 110 fight against Michael Bisping.

Video: The Women, They Love the GSP

(Props: afflictionvideos)

You know, just once I’d like to be referred to as "God" by a long line of hot chicks. Anyway, here’s Georges St. Pierre signing some of his new 2010 calendars last weekend at the Affliction store at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. To quote Todd Duffee, the ladies want to romance him, and the boys want to bromance him. This video is particularly worth watching because it reveals Tom Atencio’s new role at Affliction — awkwardly stumbling through interviews with UFC stars. (It’s cool, because he says he’s drunk!) Later, Randy Couture shows up to tell Tom about his upcoming "Advil and Viagra" fight with Mark Coleman. Semi-related: According to Randy, reports of GSP’s Olympic wrestling bid have been blown way out of proportion.

Bonus, after the jump: The badass new trailer for Spike’s Best of PRIDE.

With Spike TV’s The Best of Pride Fighting Championships set to kick off next Monday at 11 p.m. ET/PT (edit: premiere date has been changed to Friday, January 15 at 10 pm), it’s time to get acquainted with the show’s foxy host, Kenda Perez. Born in Laguna Beach, California, the Mexican-American model began drawing attention in 2007, when she earned a finalist spot in Maxim‘s "’Hometown Hotties" competition. Kenda has represented Maxim at various promotional events, once guest-starred on 1 vs. 100 as an ambassador for the mag, and has become a familiar face in the crowd at UFC events. You can learn more about Kenda at her official site, and follow her life on Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook. Lots more pics — plus a rather-amazing video of Kenda turning herself into an ice-cream sundae — await you after the jump…
