Rafael Dos Anjos Now Capable of Literally Hitting Donald Cerrone’s Fists With His Face

Currently riding a four-fight win streak over such notable names as Evan Dunham and Mark Bocek among others, you could argue that Rafael Dos Anjos would be in line for a title shot should he get past Donald Cerrone tonight. Not that he’s favored to, but considering the last two people to beat “Cowboy” received title shots thereafter, a win for Dos Anjos would easily place him on the shortlist of contenders to say the least. Unfortunately for Cerrone, Dos Anjos will be bringing a secret weapon with him into the octagon tonight. No, not TRT, we’re talking about HIS TERMINATOR JAW.

It turns out that after Clay Guida broke the Brazilian’s jaw back at UFC 117 in 2010, Dos Anjos underwent a surgery to ensure that he would never suffer the same injury again ever. “Nowadays, I have 20 screws and four titanium plates. Since then I broke two hands with my chin: Tibau’s and (Anthony) Njokuani’s,” Dos Anjos tells MMAJunkie, bringing to question why someone would be allowed to compete in a combat sport with metal-reinforced body parts.

While it was long believed that Kimbo’s beard was the strongest substance legally allowed to be attached to a UFC fighter, Dos Anjos’ shocking revelation has opened the floodgates for MMA fighters with prosthetic appendages to rally for their rightful place in the UFC. Video: Kim Couture vs. Kim Rose

By popular demand, here’s the video of the grisly fight between Randy’s wife and some other woman named Kim, which ended (one would hope) with Couture rethinking this whole MMA thing. Reportedly it was Rose’s fight-opening overhand right that split Couture’s jaw in two. Props to “Sugar-Free” for hanging in despite the agony. Round 1 is above; rounds 2 and 3 are after the jump.

Update: Couture and Rose each received $1,000 for their fight.

As you can see, things didn’t go so well for Kim Couture during her professional MMA debut Friday at “Free For All: A Night of Combat,” at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. En route to a decision loss against Kim Rose — who was also making her pro debut that night — Couture suffered a broken nose, a broken jaw-bone (split in the middle of her chin), and a seriously busted grill. Interviewed after the match, Rose told fans in attendance “I felt like destroying something beautiful.” Nah, not really. Results of the MMA half of the MMA/boxing card are below.

John Alessio def. Pete Spratt via submission (rear naked choke), 2:07 of round 2
Kim Rose def. Kim Couture via unanimous decision
Dave Jansen def. Dennis Davis via unanimous decision
Kui Gonsalves def. Ricky Johnson via unanimous decision
Brice Ritani-Coe def. Rob Mitchell via TKO (strikes), 4:33 of round 1
