Chael Sonnen talked his way to two UFC title shots and nearly won the first one. A University of Oregon Greco-Roman wrestler and NCAA All-American, he outwrestled Anderson Silva for four and a half rounds at UFC 117 in 2010 before getting caught in a triangle, then turned the rematch into the most entertaining feud of the era with lines about Brazil, Lyoto Machida’s house and his “title belt”.
