10. ROB EMERSON

Offenses: Was arrested in 2000 for his membership in the Lords of South County, a gang of Orange County rich kids who liked to assault innocent people for fun. Arrested again in 2006 after a dustup at a bar, and pled guilty to two counts of battery. His middling fight record doesn’t justify his UFC contract.
Notable quote: “I got bent over and took it up the ass on a lot of bullshit judges’ decisions. But fuck ‘em, their faces were fucked up worse than mine. That’s all I care about!”

9. BILL GOLDBERG

Offenses: His inexcusably awful work for EliteXC has brought MMA commentary to new, previously unimagined depths. Was reportedly abusive and obnoxious on the set of The Longest Yard.
Notable quote: “Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t give a damn about traditional mixed martial arts.”

8. BOB MEYROWITZ

Offenses: Ran the UFC into the mud marketing it as the most outrageous bloodsport on Earth. Currently working to eliminate ground-fighting with the YAMMA pit. Has a history of losing investors’ money (see eyada.com).
Notable quote: “On the streets it’s against the law — in the pit it is the law.” (YAMMA tagline)

7. GILBERT YVEL

Offenses: One of the dirtiest fighters in MMA history. DQ’d once for eye gouging, once for biting, and once for knocking out a referee; laughed when he was arrested after the incident.
Notable quote: “The referee…not a good thing, but memorable.”

12. Rich Clementi Ignore the unfortunately placed head in this picture and focus on the tat on Rich’s right pec. Cartoony tattoos are never cool. Ever. I don’t care how tough you are, there should be laws against this sort of thing. Write your Congressman. 11. Tim Sylvia Tim Sylvia: "Dude, I’m gonna’ get a tattoo that covers 30% of my arm and shoulder!" Friend: "Really? What’s it going to be?" Tim Sylvia: "I don’t know, just the first design I see in the parlor’s portfolio. It’ll make me look like one of the cool kids." 10. Joe Riggs Tattoo Rule #1: Never get your name – or nickname – tattooed on yourself. Tattoo Rule #2: If you ignore Rule #1, don’t use giant block letters when getting said tattoo. 9. Cub Swanson I saw a cool postcard in Malibu once, but never did I consider tattooing it all over me. Appears Cub Swanson doesn’t share the same restraint as I do.

If you can get past the tattoo on his stomach that says “I have a small penis,” you might also notice that there’s a swastika on his chest. (There’s also a spiderweb tattoo on his elbow, generally worn by gang members who have murdered someone.)

I bring this up because if you haven’t already, you should read this intervew that Sam Caplan did with Costa for Caplan’s blog on ProElite.com. I think he does a great job in drawing out Costa’s mentality, which unsurprisingly is littered with flawed logic and ignorance.
