Hot Potato: 13 More Photos of Kyra Gracie, Smokin’ Hot Grappling Champ and Future MMA Fighter

Not much has changed since we last saw Kyra Gracie hitting the mitts while preparing for her to-be-determined MMA debut; she’s still training, she’s still insanely attractive, and most importantly, she’s still taking off her clothes for any lucky bastard with a camera and a dream (*forges documents, builds website*). In any case, some more incredible photos of Kyra were recently unearthed on a UG thread, and being that our previous Hot Potato gallery of Kyra has become a victim of a constantly-shifting technological landscape, we figured, “Why not pay tribute to Kyra and her hotness once again?” Go ahead, I dare you to complain (about anything other than our picture viewer).

Check out some of our favorite photos of Kyra, some more recent than others, in the gallery after the jump, and make sure to follow her on Twitter.

22 of the Dumbest Event Names in King of Cage History [GALLERY]

(“You won’t see fighters this scared anywhere else!!”)

In the beginning, MMA events had catchy titles like “Revenge of the Warriors” and “Collision Course” to make them seem even more dramatic than they already were*. Eventually, all the good ideas ran out, and you started seeing crap like “Slammer in the Hammer” and “Helter Smelter” on the local circuit.

But while the UFC eventually wised up and stopped giving its events random, stupid names**, King of the Cage has kept the lunkheaded tradition alive. As proof, here are 22 of the dumbest KOTC event names we could find on the Internet. (Not pictured: Buckeye Nuts, Nuclear Explosion, Knockout Nightmare. Actual event names. Seriously.)

* The trend was officially started in 1993 with Pancrase: Yes, We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 1-4. I guess the promotion was tired of curious locals asking them, “Say, are you guys hybrid wrestlers or something?”

** The final UFC event to carry a name was UFC 125: Resolution, on January 1st, 2011, but by that point, event names had almost completely fallen out of fashion in the UFC. There were only five UFC events that carried names in 2009-2010, including UFC 99: The Comeback and UFC 112: Invincible.

(Because there’s nothing that MMA fans love more than a good split-decision.)

23 Photos of Cyndie Franchi, French MMA Ring Girl and Model

(Full gallery is after the jump.)

Props to Babes of MMA for introducing us to Cyndie Franchi, a French model and MMA ring girl originally from Corsica who now splits her time between Marseille and Paris. In addition to carrying round-cards for local fight promotions like Fightway Challenge, Cyndie’s work as a glamour model has appeared in such notable cheesecake-mags as FHM France, Maxim France, Dymelife, and Red Hot Kittens Magazine.

Cyndie spends her free time practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is involved in various humanitarian efforts related to sick and disabled children. Her philosophy on being a glamour model goes like this:

I have always loved the era of Marilyn Monroe. Being a woman with explosive curves, with a certain sensuality, a sexy woman and assertive! A woman who gives some desire to men! Every women love to give pleasure to a man or men! Every human being likes to please in general, that’s a fact! Give dreams to men is a pleasant thing! It is good to dream nowadays for something or someone!

Makes sense to us! Check out lots more great Cyndie Franchi photos in the gallery below, and follow her life on Facebook and twitter. [*Note: The photos near the end of the gallery are slightly NSFW.]

CagePotato Photo Tribute: The Ever Changing Hairstyle Of Vitor Belfort

(The “t” is for “testosterone.” / Photo via realvitorbelfort on Instagram)

By Jon Mariani

Ever since he made his Octagon debut as a thick-necked teenager in 1997, Vitor Belfort has tried out more hairstyles than any other fighter in the UFC besides Chris Leben. After seeing Belfort’s brand-new look last night — featuring a cross shaved into the back of his scalp and a braided rat-tail — we figured it was a good time to put together a chronological(-ish) history of the Phenom’s hair. Let’s begin…

(Young, buzzed-down UFC champion Vitor.)

(“It’s a work in progress, bro.”)

(Happy Friday, guys. Full gallery is after the jump.)

Props to the fine folks at BabesofMMA for introducing us to Andrea Calle, an interviewer for the Spanish-language MMA news outlet El Octagano, who also spends her time as a model, actress, NPC fitness competitor, and CEO of an active wear clothing line for women. (There’s a lot more we could mention in terms of her professional resume, but we’d like to keep this post short and snappy. Basically, this woman knows how to hustle.)

A Colombia native and graduate of the University of Miami, Andrea now makes her home in Fort Lauderdale. She’s a butt-lifting expert, and Sean McCorkle once described her as “the hottest woman in all of MMA.” Check out more of our favorite Andrea Calle photos in the gallery below, and learn more about her on Facebook, Twitter, and AndreaCalle.com. Hot Potato: 12 Photos of Courtney Prather, Bellator’s New Ring Girl

(Photo via Iron Man Magazine)

After winning a ring-girl search put on by the fine gentlemen at TheChive, BSN-sponsored fitness competitor Courtney Prather has earned a spot as Bellator’s next ring girl, and will make her debut at Bellator 106: Rampage vs. Tito on November 2nd. The Southern California native is also a certified personal trainer and fitness educator who shares her knowledge on her lifestyle site fitnesslifeadventure.com. I’m going to take a wild guess and say she consumes less pizza than Jade Bryce.

Check out some great Courtney Prather photos in our gallery after the jump, learn more about her in the BSN profile video below, and follow her life on Twitter and Facebook.
