Yoshihiro Akiyama has done it again. The Japanese sex symbol known to most as simply “Sexyama,” appeared on a Japanese talk show this week to reveal his new single and let’s just say there likely wasn’t a dry seat in the house.

We’ve done you a solid by providing the translation of the UFC middleweight-turned-welterweight‘s silky smooth lyrics, and without ruining it for you we’ll just say that Beyonce and Jay-Z have both been simultaneously put on notice.

It’s been over two months since we’ve seen Chuck Liddell throw around Russian pixie Anna Trebunskaya, but the two have been reunited for one last score, thanks to a Dancing With the Stars-themed feature in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Watch as Anna bounces around in a bikini while Chuck bounces around like a jackass. Obviously this isn’t going to be the deciding factor for you to go out and buy the issue — there’s an entire spread on bodypainted ex-girlfriends of soccer players, so you should already have this thing pre-ordered.

Woefully uninformed sports site InGameNow.com labeled that last pic "Gina Carano and bodyguard" — though maybe Carano will need one when she meets Cris Cyborg in their Strikeforce title fight on August 15th…

Tracy Lee of Combat Lifestyle recently uploaded a metric assload of pics she took at Kevin Randleman‘s wedding last Saturday. (Congrats, Monster!) Among the familiar faces from Hammer House and the requisite pics of old people dancing were some great shots of MMA sex symbol Gina Carano, who showed up to the festivities with grappling coach Scott Bieri on her arm. Sexy Girls Teach MMA Submissions – Watch more Funny Videos

Bodog Fight may have been a cracker-jack operation run by (alleged) criminals, but their ring girls were freakin’ amazing. We just stumbled across their old series of MMA instructional clips, in which the Bodog Girls acted as lovely assistants to professional fighters. First up is Matt Thorpe, who teaches the chest-to-chest sweep. ("Nice job, ladies," indeed.) Check out the rest of the series below, where Kultar "Black Mamba" Gill takes us through the very sensual north-south triangle, Daniel Puder demonstrates an armbar from guard, and Chael Sonnen submits a model via rear-naked choke.

So yes, he lives with his mother. He also alludes to a knowledge about methamphetamine that rivals his knowledge about marijuana and stevia. Why are we not surprised?

(#74) and Lost actress Yunjin Kim (#72) is the world’s best-looking mixed martial artist and former American Gladiator, Gina Carano. Hey, score one for the presence of our sport in mainstream media. "Conviction" earned her place on the annual list via a month-long voting period that saw over 10 million votes cast by readers, and her 73-spot puts her ahead of such well-known hotties as Elizabeth Banks, Sophie Monk, and Maria Sharapova. Arianny Celeste (born November 12, 1985) has been a UFC Octagon Girl since 2006. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Arianny is of Mexican and Filipino descent. She has modeled professionally since the age of 15, and previously attended UNLV, where she majored in fitness management and nutrition. Among her many magazine appearances, Arianny Celeste was featured on the cover of the May 2010 issue of Maxim, and was featured in the November 2010 issue of Playboy. Besides her duties as a UFC ring girl, Arianny also hosts the UFC Ultimate Insider web series.

If you watched UFC 92 last month, you might have noticed someone new cruising around the cage. That petite brunette with the thousand-watt smile is Logan Stanton, a 20-year-old model from Niceville, Florida, who, contrary to Internet rumors, is not at all related to Arianny Celeste. She is, however, a longtime UFC fan and self-described “dork” who likes to scarf chocolate and play with beads. We gave Logan a ring before she flew off to Dublin for Saturday’s fights, and got the inside story on how she got the gig, what Octagon Girls do when they’re not on camera, and lots more…

CAGEPOTATO.COM: So first things first — Is Logan Stanton your real name?
LOGAN STANTON: Yeah. My sister named me. My parents thought I was going to be boy, and they just liked the name so well that they kept it for me. But I like it — it goes with my personality because I’m not a girly-girl, I’m kind of a tomboy.

How long have you been modeling?
My mom was pushing me to do this since I was about nine, but I’d never had any real interest until I turned 18. I decided I needed to get out of Niceville and do my own thing for a bit, so I came to Miami and was picked up by an agency. I’ve been down here modeling full-time since last January, going back and forth between Miami and L.A.

UFC fans have been buzzing about you ever since you made your Octagon Girl debut last month. How did you wind up getting hired by the UFC?
It was probably the most random thing that’s ever happened to me. The agency called me last month and told me to come by the office, and they were like “Have you ever heard of something called the UFC?” I said, “Are you kidding me, of course I’ve heard of it, I’ve been watching it forever.” I didn’t understand why, but the UFC wanted to meet with me, so they flew me out to Vegas, and I met with [UFC VP] Craig [Borsari] and Dana [White]. I told them, “honestly, I don’t know why I’m here — I don’t have big boobs, I’m not blonde,” and they said that’s not what they were looking for at all.

Then they explained to me what an Octagon Girl does. I’ve always watched the shows, and I’ve been dying to go to one ever since I started following it. It just sounded like a very cool opportunity. They said there was a fight [later that month], and if I was ready to go I could do that one. I needed a few days to let it sink in, so I went home for Christmas, and my friends and family got me all hyped up about it.

Is this going to be an ongoing gig, or did you only sign up for a certain amount of appearances?
Hopefully ongoing. I haven’t signed anything yet, so it’s hard to say. But I guess until I trip or something I’m here to stay. [laughs]

You were in front of an audience of over 14,000 people at UFC 92, with over a million more people watching at home. How did you deal with the nerves?

While none of us may be positively heartbroken or even surprised to see Pro Elite shut down its operation, the thing to keep in mind is that the MMA marketplace just got smaller. That means fewer opportunities for fighters and, at least for most, meager paychecks in the near future. Former Icon Sport promoter Patrick Freitas reminded us of this fact with a post to the UG that read, in part:

I Just wanted to say that as everyone here is dancing on the Elitexc’s grave, I think its important to remember that a shitload of good fighters (and great people) just saw their contracts disappear into the ether.

That’s the truth. Whatever you think of Pro Elite’s demise and the reasons behind it, one thing we can all agree on is it isn’t the fault of the fighters they employed. But now that those fighters find themselves without an organization to call home, where do they go? The answer, of course, depends on who they are. Most will end up in local promotions. But what about the big fish?

Jake Shields: If the UFC could only pick up one of the newly unemployed EliteXC fighters, Shields should be that one. He was probably the most talented guy on their roster, and something tells me Zuffa could scoop him up relatively cheaply. If he comes in and makes an impact on the UFC’s welterweight division right away, great. If he doesn’t, the UFC can claim it as proof that their fighters are far and away the best in the industry.

Kimbo Slice: The EliteXC collapse couldn’t have happened at a worse time for Ferg. Coming off an embarrassing loss and with a half a million dollar price tag, he does not look like a good investment right now. We know the UFC isn’t interested. Affliction has enough heavyweights to do something with him, but he’ll have to take a major pay cut. Even then his shelf life is a question, as is his desire to continue on as a pro fighter. Don’t be surprised if we’ve seen the last of Kimbo’s MMA days.

Slated for release in April, Redbelt is a new film by writer/director David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, Hannibal, The Untouchables) about a mixed martial arts instructor who’s forced to compete in prize bouts. (Or something.) The cast includes Randy Couture, Tim Allen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, brilliant card-manipulator/actor Ricky Jay, MMA pioneer Enson Inoue, and Brazilian-born model Caroline de Souza Correa, who has previously appeared in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (fittingly, as “Sexy Brazilian Model”). Yes, the Gracie family does occasionally produce women. (We’re as surprised as you are.) In particular, Kyra Gracie — the 22-year-old granddaughter of Robson and niece of Renzo, Ralph, and the late Ryan — is talented enough to roll with her male relations, and foxy enough to be featured on Hot Potato. The first female Gracie to actively compete in jiu-jitsu, Kyra has won over 20 major grappling titles since 1998, including two Abu Dhabi championships and five wins at the Pan-American Games. The supa-foxy Joanne of MMA Girls — star of the ever-popular “how to pass guard” video — has released a new video of her predictions for UFC 79:

Wow…I’d watch this girl predict the results of a dog show. (And yes, put me down for five of those adorable little teddy bears!) Still, I disagree with Joanne’s claim that the Hughes/GSP match will go the same as the last one. I don’t see Hughes getting caught with a head-kick again, and he’s been preparing for a fight for the better part of a year, while GSP took the match on a month’s notice. But yeah, Silva, Sokoudjou and Clementi do seem headed for victories (I’ve never seen Soa Palelei or Eddie “The Manic Hispanic” Sanchez fight, so I won’t make a call one way or the other).
