TUF 20 Finale Weigh-In Results: Charles Olivera Misses Weight AGAIN, Aisling Daly Comes in Heavy as Well

(Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza make it official. Props: YouTube/UFC. The complete weigh-in video is after the jump. It’s worth watching for Angela Hill’s hair and Bec Hyatt’s middle finger.)

The TUF 20 Finale weigh-ins went down earlier today in Las Vegas, and headliners Carla Esparza and Rose Namajunas hit their 115-pound strawweight limits on the button. But not everyone was so successful. Featherweight Charles Oliveira missed weight for the third time in his UFC career, hitting 147 pounds on his first attempt, and only shedding a half-pound after an hour. As a result, 10% of his purse will go to opponent Jeremy Stephens. The last time we saw Oliveira, he had missed weight by five pounds before UFC Fight Night 50, and was pulled off the card due to health concerns.

TUF 20 castmember Aisling Daly also screwed the pooch, coming in at a whopping 118 pounds for her strawweight matchup against Alex Chambers. Daly was given one hour to make weight, but decided not to make another attempt; she will surrender 20% of her purse to Chambers. Complete TUF 20 Finale weigh-in results are below…

‘UFC Fight Night 52: Hunt vs. Nelson’ Weigh-In Results and Videos — Hunt Makes Weight!

(Tate vs. Nakai and Hunt vs. Nelson — the only weigh-ins you really care about. Complete UFC Fight Night 52 weigh-in video is after the jump.)

Mark Hunt had us nervous yesterday, but he — and everyone else — successfully made weight earlier today for UFC Fight Night 52 in Saitama, Japan. Hunt hit the scales at 264 pounds, which means he cut a full twenty pounds in the 24 hours prior to weigh-ins. (Our sources tell us that he’s already rehydrated up to 385.)

Also, Rin Nakai walked to the scale in some sort of samurai-hooker costume, then stripped it off to reveal an American flag/Superman bikini top. I was hoping for something tentacle-related, but whaddya gonna do. Full “Hunt vs. Nelson” weigh-in results are below…

Main Card (Fight Pass, 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT)
Mark Hunt (264) vs. Roy Nelson (260)

Miesha Tate (135) vs. Rin Nakai (135)

UFC Fight Night 50 Weigh-In Results: Alistair Overeem Continues to Shrink, Charles Oliveira Too Sick to Cut Weight

(‘Jacare vs. Mousasi’ weigh-in highlights via YouTube.com/UFC)

Weigh-ins for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 50 card went down yesterday at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut, and they were noteworthy for two reasons:

- Charles Oliveira tipped the scales at 150 pounds for his featherweight prelim contest against Nik Lentz, and was fined 20% of his purse*. (He also earned a spot on the leaderboard.) Oliveira’s excuse didn’t exactly put our minds at ease: “I was sick for the past week in Brazil, and I was pretty bad when I got to the United States,” Oliveira told MMAFighting.com after the weigh-ins. “I couldn’t cut weight, and I’m not feeling well to cut weight, so that’s why I missed weight. I had high fever, headache. I think it was a viral infection. But I was the one who asked for this fight, so I couldn’t withdraw.”

When asked if the illness would affect his performance, Oliveira said “I don’t know, let’s wait until tomorrow.” Yeesh, good luck dude. By the way, Lentz is still a +160 underdog in this match, so get in while the getting’s good. Oliveira previously missed weight for his UFC 152 fight against Cub Swanson, coming in just over at 146.4 pounds, but that fight was made a catchweight bout and Oliveira wasn’t fined.

UPDATE: Oliveira has been pulled from the card due to illness and won’t be paid. Nik Lentz is getting his show money and win money, but not a cut of Oliveira’s purse.

- Also, heavyweight co-main eventer Alistair Overeem weighed-in at a lean and mean 248 pounds, continuing the shrinkage he’s undergone in his UFC career: Overeem was up in the 260′s for his first two bouts in the UFC (263 against Brock Lesnar, 264 against Bigfoot), then dropped to the 250′s for his next two (255.5 against Travis Browne, 257 against Frank Mir). Somehow, he’s misplaced nine pounds since his last fight. The Demolition Man is steadily returning to his old beanpole days — but at least he looks better than Rothwell.

Check out the full UFC Fight Night 50 weigh-in results after the jump (via B/R), and be sure to come back tonight at 10 p.m. ET for our liveblog of the main card!

UFC on FOX 12 Weigh-In Results: Matt Brown Misses Weight, Avoids Punishment Because of ‘Miscommunication’

(Props: UFC on YouTube)

UFC on FOX 12 weigh-ins went down earlier today in San Jose, and no, they did not proceed without incident. Most notably, Matt Brown came in way heavy on his first attempt, tipping the scales at 172.5 pounds for his welterweight headliner against Robbie Lawler. Usually, a fighter in his position would grit his teeth and go back to the sauna for an hour. But due to a weird miscommunication, that didn’t happen. FOX Sports’s Marc Raimondi has the report:

[After missing weight], Brown was advised by a commission doctor that he should not continue to cut weight. By rule, a fighter has another hour to try to make weight. Brown thought the doctor was telling him he would not be allowed to weigh in again, according to CSAC executive officer Andy Foster.

“There’s a difference between advisement from a doctor and a directive by a doctor,” Foster told FOX Sports.

When a fighter misses weight in California, he or she must forfeit 20 percent of his or her purse, 10 percent to the commission and 10 percent to the opponent. After a discussion between the UFC and commission officials, the CSAC decided not to fine Brown.

“We were just looking after his health and safety, but I was going to let him on [the scale again],” Foster said. “I was going to give him his time. Chalk it up to miscommunication.”

‘UFC 173: Barao vs. Dillashaw’ Weigh-In Results: Is Hendo Suffering From Shrinkage?

(Props: YouTube.com/UFC)

All 24 fighters competing at tomorrow night’s UFC 173: Barao vs. Dillashaw event in Las Vegas successfully made weight earlier today, and everyone managed to keep their hands to themselves. The only noteworthy moment was co-headliner Dan Henderson coming in at 199 pounds — a full six pounds below the light-heavyweight limit — for his fight against Daniel Cormier. Is he shrinking without TRT, or has he finally cut all carbs out of his life? A little of both, maybe?
