The 24 fighters on the UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2 card weighed-in earlier today in Las Vegas — with varying degrees of success. First, the bad news: Undefeated lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov might have just cursed himself to another year of FX curtain-jerking by coming in a whopping 3.5 pounds over the 155-pound limit. Instead of trying to cut 2.5 pounds to make 156, Nurmagomedov forfeited 20% of his purse, 10% of which will go to his opponent Abel Trujillo, with the other 10% going to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. As if that didn’t make Nurma look like enough of a jackass, he followed up the weigh-in by donning his traditional Ben Askren wig then shoving Trujillo for no particular reason. (Skip to the 9:53 mark of the above video, and you will see a side of Burt Watson you’ve never seen before.)

In other news, both heavyweight bouts on the main card feature 20+ pound weight differentials, with Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva coming in 23 pounds heavier than champion Cain Velasquez, and Mark Hunt out-hefting Junior Dos Santos by 25. During Thursday’s UFC on FX 8 pre-fight press conference, Vitor Belfort did that thing he loves to do where he held his right fist out to Luke Rockhold‘s chin during their photo-op staredown. Luke was not amused. So, after the two headliners weighed in today at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Rockhold just walked straight through Belfort’s fist-pose, making body contact with the Brazilian fighter. Belfort shoved Rockhold, and Bootleg Dana had to separate them.

The 22 fighters competing at tomorrow’s UFC on FX 7: Belfort vs. Bisping event will be hitting the scales shortly at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, and if yesterday’s staredown was any indication, we can expect another tense face-off from the headliners, full of shoulder-shuckin’ and chin-checkin’. Plus, the UFC will unveil a new Brazilian ring girl, fulfilling a promise that has eluded us for years.

We know it’s confusing, so we’ll try to make this as clear as possible…

- The weigh-ins for tomorrow night’s TUF 16 Finale are scheduled for today at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT, and you can watch them live in the player above. We’ll be liveblogging the FX main card broadcast tomorrow night beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

- The weigh-ins for tonight‘s UFC on FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson card went down yesterday in Australia, and we’ll be liveblogging the main card tonight beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

- The TUF 16 Finale, which features Roy Nelson vs. Matt Mitrione, Pat Barry vs. Shane Del Rosario, Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner, and Dustin Poirier vs. Jonathan Brookins, is a pretty badass card. Honestly, if you only have time to watch one UFC event this weekend, make it this one — by which I mean tomorrow’s.

- Fun fact: Melvin Guillard plans on getting the lightweight title when he’s 35 or 40, so that he can retire shortly afterwards, rather than fade into obscurity like other guys who have fought for the title. It all makes sense now.

For those of you who weren’t already planning to sleep in tomorrow, CagePotato will be liveblogging the UFC’s first event in China, which will be broadcast pretty damn early in the morning for us Westerners; the main card kicks off on FUEL at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT, so be here if you can.

The weigh-ins went down earlier today, with the Cung Le vs. Rich Franklin main event and eight supporting bouts becoming official — but not everybody made it to the scale. Hours before weigh-ins, doctors declared that Korean rookie Hyun Gyu Lim was medically unfit to compete, and he was pulled from his prelim bout against David Mitchell. Though Lim’s medical issue was not disclosed, MMAWeekly.com says it was a problem related to his weight cut. Mitchell, who was coming in as an injury replacement for Marcelo Guimaraes, will be paid his show money but won’t be competing on the card.

Lim is the second South Korean fighter to drop off the Macao event, following Kyung Ho Kang‘s injury withdrawal. Replacing Kang against Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres will be Pancrase/DEEP standout vet Motonobu Tezuka. All told, eight of UFC on FUEL 6‘s nine scheduled bouts will feature an Asian fighter, although only one of them is actually Chinese. Full weigh-in results are after the jump. UFC on FUEL TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier goes down tomorrow night at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, and the weigh-ins are scheduled for today at 4 p.m. ET. You can watch the hot feet-on-scale action in the player above. Though we don’t foresee any hat-smacking or face-squishing, Tom Lawlor did promise to arrive with the most obscure MMA reference in UFC weigh-in history, so there’s that. With the exception of John Makdessi, who weighed in at 158 pounds and was forced to hand over 20 percent of his purse to opponent Anthony Njokuani, all fighters made weight at this afternoon’s UFC 145 weigh-ins. Jon Jones tipped the scales at the light-heavyweight limit of 205, where Rashad Evans weighed-in just shy at 204. One of the more interesting moments from the event, as noted by our buddy Ariel Helwani, was the stare down between the newly re-signed Miguel Torres and Michael McDonald. Obviously a fan of how the 209 do business, Torres put on his finest mean mug for the pair’s stare down, only to be basically laughed at by “Mayday,” who clearly wasn’t intimidated.

Another thing of note: Despite weighing in just under the heavyweight limit, Ben Rothwell looked to be in way better shape than we’ve seen in the past. Will it help him come fight night? Probably not, but we can all dream.

UFC on FX 2 weigh-ins were held yesterday at the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia, with all 22 fighters successfully hitting their marks. No real surprises, although the bad blood between Cole Miller and Steven Siler was palpable. If you’ll recall, Siler scored a surprising submission against Cole’s brother Micah in the preliminary round of TUF 14, and it was clear yesterday that Cole — who’s making his UFC featherweight debut — is still upset about that. The two talked smack and got in each other’s faces until they had to be restrained by Joe Silva and Burt Watson. Also, Thiago Alves gained back nearly 30 pounds just three hours after hitting the scale, which is insane, but at least he made weight this time. The full weigh-in results are below…

The rumors are true, folks. Not only will the winner of tomorrow night’s welterweight co-headliner between Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley earn a shot at Georges St. Pierre’s belt, but that fighter will also get to do a tour of duty opposite GSP on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. Dana White confirmed the news today before the UFC 113 weigh-ins at the Bell Centre in Montreal. TUF 12 will begin filming in a few weeks, and is slated to premiere on September 15th. 

As for the results of today’s weigh-ins, the numbers are after the jump. No real surprises, although the weight differences in both heavyweight bouts were close to 30 pounds. Plus, Tom Lawlor showed up to the weigh-ins as Dan Severn, following previous weigh-in tributes to Just Bleed Guy and Harold Howard.

(At least we know his immense musculature isn’t the culprit here.)

Blame it on the late-night munchies if you will, but Nate Diaz failed to make weight on his first attempt in Oklahoma City this afternoon.  The hardcore 209-repper came in at 156.5 for his fight with Melvin Guillard tomorrow night, which is weird since he says in this video that he was down to 157 as recently as Monday morning.  Then again, he points out in this video that the 24-hour gyms in Oklahoma City are total bullshit, so maybe all the running around he had to do in order to find an after-hours workout facility played havoc with his weight loss schedule. 

On his second attempt, Nate was able to shed the half-pound, so consider this crisis averted.  But do we need to point out that this is reason enough to wonder about the guy’s focus for this fight?  And that, if combined with a horrible gameplan, he may be walking into an upset on Wednesday night?  Nah, we didn’t think so.  Full weigh-in results are after the jump.
