UFC Fight Night 56 Weigh-In Results: John Lineker Comes in Heavy AGAIN, Damn It [UPDATED]

The most consistently overweight fighter in UFC history has done it again, folks. Weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 56: Shogun vs. St. Preux just concluded in Uberlandia, Brazil, with everybody hitting their marks except for — you guessed it — flyweight John Lineker, who came in at 126.7 on his first attempt.

That’s not quite as bad when Lineker weighed in at 127 pounds for his Octagon debut at UFC on FOX 3, or when he weighed in at 129 pounds before UFC 163, or when he weighed in at 128 pounds before UFC Fight Night 30, but still dude, get it together for God’s sake. Lineker also missed weight on his first attempt before UFC 169, but made it on his second try. Maybe the same thing will happen today and he won’t be responsible for a fourth catchweight fight in the UFC. We’ll update you after LOLineker‘s final appearance on the scale.

Update: Lineker made 126 pounds on his second try. But that’s five times out of eight UFC weigh-ins where Lineker hasn’t hit the mark on his first attempt — a 37.5% success rate. Not the kind of stat you want to be known for.

‘UFC 173: Barao vs. Dillashaw’ Weigh-In Results: Is Hendo Suffering From Shrinkage?

(Props: YouTube.com/UFC)

All 24 fighters competing at tomorrow night’s UFC 173: Barao vs. Dillashaw event in Las Vegas successfully made weight earlier today, and everyone managed to keep their hands to themselves. The only noteworthy moment was co-headliner Dan Henderson coming in at 199 pounds — a full six pounds below the light-heavyweight limit — for his fight against Daniel Cormier. Is he shrinking without TRT, or has he finally cut all carbs out of his life? A little of both, maybe?

Full UFC 173 weigh-in results are after the jump, via MMAWeekly. Be sure to come back tomorrow night for our liveblog of the main card.

Catch the ‘Fight Night 36: Machida vs. Mousasi’ Weigh-Ins LIVE Right Here Starting at 1 p.m. EST [UPDATED w/RESULTS]

(Uh-oh. Grizzled, unkempt Machida is easily the most dangerous of all Machidas. Photo via Getty.)

Lyoto Machida, Gegard Mousasi, and all 24 fighters competing on tomorrow’s ‘Fight Night 36′ card are set to hit the scales from the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil starting at 1 p.m. EST. Although Fight Night 36 is eerily similar in quality to next weekend’s UFC 170 pay-per-view, it features neither Ronda Rousey nor the year’s biggest squash match and therefore will be free. No, I do not understand it either.

Join us after the jump for a live feed of the weigh-ins, which are sure to feature no shortage of graceful bows and vacant, serial killer-esque stares into the distance. Should be a good one.

Catch the ‘UFC 169: Barao vs. Faber II’ Weigh-Ins LIVE Right Here Starting at 4 p.m. EST [UPDATED w/Results]

(Photo via Getty.)

There may be 24 fighters hitting the scales at today’s UFC 169: Faber vs. Barao II weigh-ins, but the eyes of the MMA world are going to be focused on one man. No, not Jose Aldo, nor Renan Barao or Urijah Faber or that Lamas guy; I’m talking about supposed flyweight John Lineker, who battles Ali Bagautinov in a potential #1 contender bout tomorrow night.

I say “supposed” because Lineker has shown up heavy for three of his past five fights at flyweight, attaching an unfortunate asterisk to his current four-fight winning streak. Thankfully, Lineker says he has finally made the correct changes to his weight-cutting regimen, so join us after the jump to see how he and the rest of the fighters competing at tomorrow’s event fare in today’s weigh-ins.

All Fighters Make Weight at ‘UFC Fight Night 35: Rockhold vs. Philippou’ Weigh-Ins

All 24 fighters competing on tomorrow’s Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Philippou card made weight at today’s weigh-ins, which went down at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia at 4 p.m. EST.

Although the event got off to a smooth start, things took a turn for the worse during the main event staredown. For seemingly no reason, Philippou suddenly decided to blind Rockhold with a Three Stooges-style double eye poke (a signature move of his), causing the final Strikeforce middleweight champion to stumble off stage and knock himself unconscious. Stepping in to fight Philippou on extremely short notice will be Mayhem Miller, who promised to “Force-feed that Cypriot his own ass and then drag his assless corpse to the local cineplex” before launching into a series of robot and Batman sounds. Should be a hell of a fight.

That’s a lie. None of that happened. The full weigh-in results for Fight Night 35: Rockhold Miller Lucky Patrick vs. Philippou are after the jump.

Catch the ‘Fight Night 32: Henderson vs. Belfort’ Weigh-Ins LIVE Right Here Starting at 1 p.m. EST [UPDATED w/RESULTS]

The Fight Night 32 card is kind of like your kid’s soccer team, in that you’d begrudgingly tell your friends that it “has potential” when deep, down inside, you really know that it is garbage-ass. Complete, utter garbage-ass. Sure, you’ve got a couple of solid players on your wings, but between the cheaters, the kids who haven’t practiced in a year, and the kids you’ve never even seen before, you just know that noone is going to show up to the game on Saturday.

I got lost in that analogy halfway through. In any case, the Fight Night 32: Henderson vs. Belfort weigh-ins are set to kick off shortly, so join us at 1 p.m. EST for live updates as all 22 fighters hit the scales. Your gay roommate will thank you.
