[VIDEO] Jason Miller Shows Up 24 POUNDS Overweight, Pulled From Venator FC Bout With Luke Barnatt

(“209 pounds? Yeah, it must be the shorts.”)

You guys remember how Jason Miller was recently plucked from whatever Mission Viejo drug den he’s been rotting away in and booked for a fight against fellow former UFC middleweight Luke Barnatt, right? Or that even after being booked in said fight, he seemed to be under the impression that he was fighting UFC heavyweight Josh Barnett? How about the fact that he was *then* arrested and held on a million dollars bail, or that the President of the promotion that booked him then used a satirical statement we wrote as his company’s actual press release?

Well, it might shock you to learn that Miller hasn’t exactly used this fight as an opportunity to turn his life around, as some have suggested it would be. At this morning’s weigh-ins, Miller showed up a staggering 24 pounds over the middleweight limit and has subsequently been pulled from his fight.

Video and details after the jump.

‘UFC 190: Rousey vs. That Poor Lady’ Weigh-Ins Results: Everyone on Point for Rio

At approximately midnight tomorrow night, Ronda Rousey is going to run roughshod over poor, sweet, delusional Bethe Correia. We all know it, and anyone who says otherwise is a crazy person. But before they fight, they first had to weigh-in and stare longingly into each others eyes at the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro.

Suffice it to say, I think the staredown lived up to expectations, so check it out above, then head after the jump for complete UFC 190 weigh-in results.

UFC 182 Weigh-In Results and Video — Jones and Cormier Avoid Each Other, Dufresne Misses Weight

(The Jones/Cormier “face-off” starts at 31:35.)

Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, and the rest of the fighters competing on tomorrow’s UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier card are set to hit the scales in just a few minutes from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. With any luck, a fight will break out that we’ll all totally love but act like we’re ashamed about later. Not that any incident that may or may not occur between Jones and Cormier tonight will top Mirko Cro Cop’s fracas with Kazuyuki Fujita at Inoki Bom. That shove was straight vicious, son. Like, whatever lies between “hospital” and “cemetery” on the Cro Cop scale of vicious. Mortuary vicious.

What was I talking about again? Oh right, the weigh-ins. Joins us after the jump for the fastest UFC 182 weigh-ins results on the web.

UFC on FOX 13 Weigh-In Results, or, The End of the ‘Nate Diaz: Crazy or Cunning?’ Debate

Earlier this week, CagePotato contributor Trent Reinsmith asked us to consider whether perennial lightweight contender Nate Diaz might secretly be a hell of a lot more cunning than we give him credit for. The main takeaway from you readers seemed to be that the article was “retarded”, “fake”, and also “gay.” Quite the cunning linguists, you guys are. #wordplay #layers

While initially skeptical myself, I was at least willing to hear Trent out, as my own recent revelation about Tito Ortiz has forced me to reconsider that any and every MMA fighter might be some kind of evil genius beneath all the punch drunk slurs and mispronounced maxims.

Until about an hour ago, that was, at the UFC on FOX 13 weigh-ins. Scheduled to face Rafael Dos Anjos in a pivotal lightweight matchup, Diaz showed up a whopping 5.6 pounds overweight and, in a shocking twist, appeared to give less than zero fucks about it. I’m just saying, if I spent a year-long hiatus from my job complaining about not getting paid enough, I sure as hell wouldn’t force the athletic commission to deduct 20% of my paycheck upon my return. So let’s all just go ahead and put that debate to bed.

The rest of the UFC on FOX 13 weigh-in results are after the jump.

Daniel Straus Had to Cut His Damn Dreads Off to Make 145 Pounds at Yesterday’s Bellator Weigh-Ins

(Well that’s a shame. / Photo via Anthony Mazzuca)

Tonight in Hammond, Indiana, Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus will make his first title-defense in a rubber-match against Pat Curran, the guy he won the title from in November. But just making weight for the fight turned into a harrowing test of Straus’s character. Expecting to come in a little over the 145-pound limit, Straus chopped his own dreads off backstage to help shed some ounces. The raggedy aftermath is what you see above.

At weigh-ins, Straus immediately stripped down and got behind a towel — and he was still a half-pound over. Luckily, Straus was able to shed the extra weight with some additional time, and tonight’s title fight will proceed as scheduled. But between Straus’s new hairstyle and the sudden removals of War Machine and Joe Riggs, the Bellator 112 poster has become one of the most outdated and inaccurate posters in MMA history. It’s a crazy world, man. Everything is subject to change.

The official Bellator 112 weigh-in results are after the jump…
