Videos: Tito Ortiz Is Ready to Bring the Poundage, GSP Awaits His Next Challenge

(Props: valetudows via MMA Mania)

He's back, and he wants his belt back. In this UFC 106 promo clip, Tito Ortiz says he plans on rebuilding himself towards the light-heavyweight title one fight at time, starting with his upcoming rematch against Forrest Griffin. "Can he withstand the pound...and pound...and poundage that I'm gonna do on him?" Ortiz asks in his usual eloquent style. "I ain't lookin' for submissions, I'm gonna look for hurtin' him." Probably the most interesting part of this clip is the footage at 1:36-1:46 of Griffin storming out of the Octagon following his loss to Anderson Silva, which wasn't shown in the original UFC 101 broadcast; Ortiz didn't think that was too cool, by the way. At the end, Tito stares into the camera, breaking the fourth-wall: "I'm willing to die for my cause. Are yuh?"

Just a little visual counterpoint to yesterday's post about Georges St. Pierre's post-UFC 100 drinking binge. Pics of Shonie Carter's gold speedo await you after the jump.

And So It Begins...

Kenny Florian trains at Montreal's Tristar Gym with Georges St. Pierre, Firas Zahabi, and the rest of the gang who helped turn a proud champion into a ruined crybaby. No word on whether Zahabi ever took BJ Penn up on his generous offer to go fuck himself. Florian and Penn will battle for the UFC's lightweight title at UFC 101 (August 8th, Philadelphia).

Videos: March '09 MMA Highlights, GSP Is Superman + More

(Props: fightface.blogspot.com)

It's the start of another month, which means it's time to check out the latest highlight reel from Facey. The March '09 edition features Matt Hamill's thunderous head-kick KO of Mark Munoz, David Gardner's "Hello Japan!" epic fail, Shane Carwin's triumph over Gabriel Gonzaga (watch the inset to see proof that Carwin's victims always fall into an Indian-style sitting position), Jose Aldo's latest destruction, King Mo body-slamming another Asian, the Jackson/Jardine war, Mike Brown's first title defense, and more. Great stuff, as always.

Below: lookoutawhale's new installment of the "Riddum Revenge" series, a short but sweet tribute to George St. Pierre's superman punch.

Video: BJ Penn Has Only Begun to Complain

(Props: BJPenn.com)

As part of his one-man Warren Commission on that unfortunate UFC 94 greasing scandal, BJ Penn has released a highlight video of sorts, intended to prove exactly why Georges St. Pierre is a dirty, rotten, no-good cheater. I don't know if Penn hired the same team responsible for putting together UFC Primetime, but this is a first-class production, all the way. Imagine if Genghis Con was a crybaby bitch who couldn't accept that fact that he got crushed by GSP — this is the kind of video he'd make.

Oh, I kid the proud Hawaiian. To be honest, Penn presents a compelling case, and it does seem mighty suspicious that Sean Sherk, Matt Hughes, and Jason Miller all came up with the same excuse as to why they couldn't handle St. Pierre. As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's a hot pre-fight bath followed by a baby-oil rubdown. Also, the video's use of "Tom Sawyer" by Rush? A very subtle dig at GSP's Canadianism. Where's your mean, mean pride, Georges?
