After landing big wins at UFC Fight Night 19, Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard have been booked to face each other in the main event of the UFC's next Fight Night show, which will go down January 11th at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. But it won't be the first time the two lightweight contenders have gone toe to toe. During his dominant run on TUF 5, Diaz submitted Maynard by guillotine choke in the semi-finals. Since then, Maynard has surpassed Diaz in the 155-pound pecking order, going 6-0 with one no-contest, including decision wins over Frank Edgar, Jim Miller, and Roger Huerta. Diaz went 4-0 after winning his TUF contract, but then lost back-to-back fights to Clay Guida and Joe Stevenson before breaking his skid against Melvin Guillard last month.

If he's victorious, Maynard could find himself squarely in title contention, though a match against the winner of Florian/Guida at UFC 107 seems like a logical eliminator fight. Fun fact: Diaz has won an end-of-night bonus (either Submission of the Night or Fight of the Night) in each one of his last five appearances. Any predictions on how this one will go down?

Though we're still waiting on payout figures for UFC 103, the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission has just released salary info for last Wednesday's UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs Guillard event, which brought in a live gate of $577,966.72 from 6,687 paying spectators (9,490 total). The numbers are below; keep in mind that that the figures don't include revenue from sponsorships and undisclosed "locker room bonuses," or deductions for insurance, taxes, and licensing fees.

Nate Diaz $78,000 (includes $24,000 win bonus and $30,000 Submission of the Night bonus) def. Melvin Guillard $14,000

Gray Maynard $24,000 (includes $12,000 win bonus) def. Roger Huerta $21,000

Carlos Condit $48,000 (includes $24,000 win bonus) def. Jake Ellenberger $10,000

Nate Quarry $90,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus and $30,000 Fight of the Night bonus) def. Tim Credeur $40,000 (includes $30,000 Fight of the Night bonus)

The UFC doled out $30,000 best-of-night bonuses to four fighters at last night's "Diaz vs. Guillard" event. The extra bread was awarded to...

Fight of the Night: Nate Quarry and Tim Credeur for their three-round slugfest, which Quarry took by unanimous decision. I would have given it to Carlos Condit and Jake Ellenberger, whose fight was much more technical and varied, but hey, the crowd loves a good brawl, and Quarry/Credeur was a great one.

Submission of the Night: Nate Diaz, who was responsible for one of the night's three guillotine-choke submissions. Amazingly, this is the fifth-straight fight in which Diaz has won an end-of-night bonus. Previously, he received Fight of the Night bonuses for his wars against Joe Stevenson, Clay Guida, and Josh Neer, and a Submission of the Night bonus against Kurt Pellegrino.

Knockout of the Night: Jeremy Stephens by default, since there were no other KOs/TKOs on the card. Stephens didn't actually knock Justin Buchholz out, but he was whaling on him pretty good until the fight was stopped in the first round due to the hatchet-wound shown above.

UFC Fight Night 19 drew 7,500 spectators for a reported live gate of $650,000.
