That’s a Lot of Wrinkles For One Fight Poster

The UFC sent out an email today announcing the ticket pre-sale for UFC 109 in February.  Maybe it’s just a lighting issue, but this poster really drives home the geriatric nature of the fight card.  Between Randy Couture and Mark Coleman, you’ve got 90 years worth of life experience in one event.  God forbid anyone gets them talking about how much things used to cost when they were kids, or what the best episode of "Matlock" was — they may never actually get around to fighting.  Instead they’ll both just nod off in front of Fox News and then wake up briefly confused about which grandchild you are.

But while we have to wait for UFC 109 to finally tell us which aging legend still has more steam left in him, there’s at least one point of contention we can settle right now.


Who is the better actor?  Here’s a sample from both of them, for your consideration:

Coleman and Vera are not names that make me want me to spend money on PPV mma fights. How am i supposed to entertain my guests with those snoozers on the card? I mean, really… ??

Randy you too, i love you man but we need some excitement in there.

Sorry Dana White/Fertitas/Zuffa, but did you even watch either of their last few fights, or just not want to pay them appropriately for being entertaining monsters?? (Hendo/Fedor).

Been an mma fan since 1996, (UFC got me watching).

Where are Fedor and Hendo???????????

All about the $$ though, my PPV $$ will go where Fedor or Hendo go, (PPV-wise).

UFC 109 “Time Machine” not relentless.
This card is announced just days after DW is saying Hendo brings nothing to the table?!?!
Lil’ Nog is going to save this card!
What does B.Vera bring to the table DW?
What does Mark Coleman bring to the table DW?
Coleman v. Couture will put 15 percent of the viewers to bed and many friends leaving their buddies house cause their about to pass out and want to go home.

The problem with giving talent away with MMA is that the pool is not deap like many other primetime sports Dana.

If combat sports have told us anything over the past 100 years it is that money problems, and fighting for money can cause regrettable decisions.

That leglock was a joke, that sucks, but I think it is even more pathetic of Takada to be a part of that (opposite of money problems).

This looks like the perfect card to put the Martinez v Zimmer II match on.

Also “Lil Nog” is probably just there to kill Vera and become his personal replacement on all future fight cards. Dana White is awesome in his wickedness.

Could it be that one of you suffers from a split personality disorder with an alternate personality who has no ability to logically process thought or use reason and on a daily basis trolls on mma forums without really having any idea what he’s talking about so he has to constantly threaten people with death or talk about how they might be homosexual and in secret really want to make sweet man love to him and goes by the moniker UFC fan. How did lil nog go from crushing Luis cane to fighting Vera, who just “lost” to cotoure? Am I the only person who views him as a viable threat at 205? His boxing is tight and jui jitsu is insane. He should be fighting more legit opponents.

Koschek is a scary dude these days…on a mission, will fight anyone and is determined to fight GSP again without intimidation. I don’t necessarily like the guy but his drive, work ethic and willingness to fight without time for a game plan is scary.
