‘The Reem’ is Back With Season Two of Our Favorite Web Documentary Series

It’s been a while, but Alistair Overeem’s web-based mini-documentary series “The Reem” is back with another season. Season 2 picks up with Alistair getting the invite to appear on K-1′s NYE ¬†Dynamite! card opposite last-minute replacement¬†Todd Duffee. Following the impressive KO win, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker approaches Overeem and offers him a slot on the promotion’s planned heavyweight grand prix and “The Demolition Man” immediately requests a rematch with Fabrisco Werdum in the opening round. So much for his detractors saying he only takes easy fights.

The rest of the segment sees Alistair doing PR work at The Superbowl, the New York MMA rally and at the Strikeforce HWGP fan conference in New Jersey.

Like most of his Golden Glory teammates, Alistair comes off as cool and very likeable.

That entire video boils down to Scott Coker's nervous laugh as Barnett goes into his ridiculous but honest stand up routine on the stage. It's at

It must be a great feeling to walk into a room and know if shit goes down you are the only one likely to survive.
I want to see Overeem vs Lesnar, Lesnar says he is a badass viking and acts like a bully while Overeem acts like a complete gentleman and will obliterate him.
Always good to see fighters getting along after a fight like Todd and Alistair in this episode.

Love the Reem, I honestly think he easily beats everybody in the UFC minus Carwin, Cain, Brock, and JDS. Those 4 would all be amazing fights and I think he could take all 4.

The Reem is one of the only good reasons for the merger.. one of only 2 or 3 fighters that could compete with the elite in the UFC.

40 million was worth it to put Overeem in the cage with one of the top 4 UFC HW's alone.

I am a big fan.. and these Reem videos are absolutely the best btw.

Also to see Nick Diaz get smashed by GSP is beyond words.. he will not be able to hand with the top 5.. and after 3 straight losses he can take his show to King of the Cage where all his crew can see him regularly..

Also his stablemate Gilbert the I'm the best bollocks.. losing to the worst in the UFC Lightweights will be utter joy.. nothing more than each of those douche bags deserve.

As for the Russian Chicken.. he will never make the transition over to the UFC.. I see M1 & Showtime splitting after the current contract to do their own thing... and another major network taking over. I think it might be an ABC & ESPN deal.

I would love to see Fedor take on Lesnar... but it will never happen. Lesnar is a one trick pony but that exceptional wrestling skill combined with his size would leave Fedor with two shattered orbital bones.. and in the hospital for a month.

Fedor in a ring was exceptional.. in a cage with big men.. he is at best a fat LHW. The cage is a whole different world that favours grapplers. Just like Dan Henderson.. he has a punchers chance.. but both are overpaid and well beyond their sell by dates.. time to clear out the old trash. Say no to the Russian Mob.

Come two years only the good fighters will be left.. so 98% of Strikeforces current stable will be unemployed. Most of those who will stay will be for their demographical abilities.. like Werdum, Silva for Brazil events, Mousassi for Holland.. Diaz brothers, Mildendez for the pot head or degenrate demographic.

best yet.. we will probably finally get to see Rampage the black hater.. against King Mo. That one I have been waiting for ages to see. I think Mo will win that one with his wrestling.

Anyways for those producing this series it is amazing.. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!
