Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

The ‘Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley’ Poster May Already Be Outdated

Well, it’s on a poster now, so I guess this fight’s really happening. But if you ask me, the old “U.S. vs. U.K.” opposing-flags angle is a little tired. I’d rather focus on what Nick Diaz and Paul Daley have in common. They’re both perpetually grumpy, for one thing. And they both do some of their best fighting after the last bell. (Who can forget Daley’s Josh Koscheck sucker-punch incident, or the Nashville brawl, or the Joe Riggs hospital fight?)

Unfortunately, one of the names on the poster — lightweight title contender Tatsuya Kawajiri — might have to drop out of the event, due to the current devastation in Japan. According to an MMAJunkie report, Jorge Masvidal and KJ Noons have been asked to stand by as replacements in case Kawajiri and Shinya Aoki are unable to compete. Masvidal and Noons were originally slated to face each other on the “Diaz vs. Daley” card, which goes down April 9th card in San Diego; now we could be seeing Melendez vs. Masvidal and Noons vs. Lyle Beerbohm. We’ll let you know when things are official.

Since when does Diaz dry hump? He never lays on people he works for a sub. He isn't GSP or Fitch!

No, it's a cool poster.

Not only do I think the poster is cool, I also think Diaz vs Daley would be a great scrap!

Unfortunately, I ALSO-also think the fight's gonna fall through for one reason or another. Either Dana being a dooshnizzle or Dana being a dooshnozzle..

@mDino...I don't know about "crazy" power, plenty of people have eaten his punches

I really hope Daley has read the "tapping out is for bitches" manucript.

Diaz will stand with Daley, of course he will - that's his whole angle, but that doesn't mean he's not beyond finding a way to win where his game is stronger, I think he'll do it.
On a side note - I've never understood fighters being touted beside their nations' flags, as if they represent their whole country. I see it as an effective marketing ploy, but definitely a tired one.

if diaz is stupid enough to stand with daley, hes gonna get rocked and tko'd. diaz is nuts and can eat punches, but daley has crazy power. plz nick, do urself a favor and submit this guy. beating opponents at their own game can only take u so far.

Kawajiri tweeted after the earthquake that he and all his family were fine and that the quake hit harder than Malendez can. That sounds like a cat who is still on schedual to me.

Diaz is going to pitter-pat-punch Daley around the ring while the crowd chants USA, USA! The fight before the final bell will be pretty boring compared to the fight after the final bell.

I want this fight.. I want to see Daley spend 3 weeks talking about how "Nick Diaz has never seen a bad boy like me before" and of course his "If Nick is smart he won't stand with me". Then spend two rounds getting dry humped before getting his ass sub'ed.
