Tito Ortiz Guests on Friday Night’s Episode of CSI: NY With an Obviously Cracked Skull

If Tito Ortiz is seriously thinking of acting full time after he finishes up his fight career in July, he may want to reconsider, otherwise his kids could go hungry.

Tito’s latest thespian performance can be seen tomorrow night when he appears on CSI: NY as MMA fighter Derek Petrov —  a suspect in the murder of his last opponent, who pulled a Paul Daley on him after the referee seemingly stopped the fight. As you will see in the clip below, Tito must have been suffering from a cracked skull on the set because nobody is buying his performance, which is sad since he’s basically playing himself with a different name.

Here’s how the release described the episode:

“Clean Sweep” — A charred body turns into a hot mess for the CSIs when it appears a cage fighter has been murdered by his stalker, on “CSI: NY,” Friday, Jan. 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Tito Ortiz is still the best actor in that Crow movie he did. He was Oscar worthy compared to the rest.

I'm with @glassjawsh on this - once again, the portrayal of MMA and fighters uses lazy stereotypes instead of even trying to be accurate. And the part where the crowd boos when the action goes to the ground - as if hitting a downed opponent is a cheapshot - is just stupid and shows how little they know about the rules. Having this fight happen in NY, where MMA isn't even regulated just adds to the stupidity.

Ugh, the whole thing is just lazy and unimaginative. Human cockfighting, indeed.

this is exactly on par with chuck and handy's acting skills.

I think the real story is how the fighters are still portrayed as thugs and how the crowd boos for some reason as soon as the fight hits the mat.

LOL, this made my day. Good write up. I still can't stop laughing from yesterday's video with the dubbed over animals. That shit was hilare.

can someone please explaine to me what the fuck is going on in that clip? Why would the ref step in, the all of the sudden alow the fight to keep going? Did tito do something wrong that made the ref step in? WTF?
