Tito Ortiz's Self-Deception Skills Are Still Second to None
When it comes to making self-aggrandizing statements that vastly overstate his own importance and ability, no one in MMA even comes close to Tito Ortiz. In this video interview (props to The Garv for the find) Ortiz manages to call Lyoto Machida a pussy, take credit for the champ's current fight-finishing streak, and praise both Brock Lesnar and Georges St. Pierre for being Tito Ortiz-esque fighters, all in just four minutes. That's called covering all your bases, and doing so with efficiency. We'd expect nothing less from the guy who hasn't had a significant win in over three years, and yet has somehow remained relevant.

I agree Tito and GSP are VERY similar. They both have fought in the UFC in the 2000's.... and um... ok so maybe GSP hasn't beaten down a old washed up retired guy 3 times, got spanked by a legend, and KTFO'd by the Iceman. But other than that they are pretty much the same....

Tito hasn't had a relevant win in a while but in his defense he hasn't had a bad loss either. You all like to talk about Tito like he's losing to scrubs left and right and his careers over. The only people he's lost to in the last 10 years almost are Randy in his prime, Chuck in his prime, and Machida in his prime. Is that really that bad? To fight for 10 years and only lose to those 3? Some of the guys he's beaten in that time frame are Wandy, Tanner, Vladimir M, Belfort, Griffin, and had a draw with Rashad. Give the guy a little credit at least he's still got some good fights left in him. He won't get the belt while Machida has it but then again who will? Should everyone at mw and lhw just retire?

12 of his last 16 fights were against either former, current, or future ufc/pride champions (ok Ken Shamrock barely counts, but whatever). Of those 16 he lost 4, and the 4 he lost were to dominant ufc champions in their primes. I'm not a tito nuthugger or anything, just sayin he's not THAT irrelevant and deserves a little bit of respect. Besides, if fighting keeps him from getting behind the mic then for the love of god give the man fights.

anyone who thinks tito never accomplished much in MMA probably has only been watching for a couple of years. check out the UFC 20's/30's/40's. He had tons of exciting fights. against champs and originators of the sport. yes, I know we are in the 100's now for UFC events. But he helped build the sport all of us on here love. But to say he has never done shit is just plain ignorant. Even if he is a complete toolbag and so is his cum dumpster.
