MMA Fighter Challenges People to Punch Him in the Face, Everyone Fails

To Realize the Value of Time: Mixed Martial Arts Edition

(I could’ve sworn I took the blue pill.)

By Jason Moles

They say that time waits for no one and that you’d be wise to treasure every moment you have. After reading this, I bet you’d agree too.

To realize the value of ten years: Ask a 20-something-year-old who just signed his first major contract.

To realize the value of one year: Ask a fighter who is recovering from a torn ACL.

To realize the value of one month: Ask a guy who has lived in his van so he can afford to train.

To realize the value of one week: Ask the guy who took a fight on short notice.

To realize the value of one hour: Ask a fighter who just missed weight.

To realize the value of five minutes: Ask the fan who made a sammich during Bruce Buffer’s introductions.

To realize the value of one minute: Ask a cutman who needs to give his fighter one more round.

To realize the value of one second: Ask the man who threw a knee too soon.

To realize the value of one millisecond: Ask the person who holds the record for the fastest KO.

To realize the value of championship gold: Ask someone who doesn’t have any.
