Today’s Silva vs. Sonnen Staredown Got Very, Very Uncomfortable [VIDEO]

Yes, Anderson Silva initiated contact. Yes, he appeared to lunge in for a kiss at the 1:05:35 mark. Yes, it took Dana White and two other dudes to hold him back. By comparison, Chael Sonnen was cool as a cucumber during the climactic staredown at today’s UFC 148 press conference. Congrats, buddy, you’re in his head. Now what?

I don't understand the hating on Andy for this. This is great for the fans for a couple reasons:

1. We don't have to fear a tentative, tactical strategy from Silva as he has been known for in the past. He could easily just sit on the outside and pic CS apart.

2. We have never seen this out of Silva before. He has defended his MW title 9 times and never showed this kind of emotion. He is only a few fights away from retirement and we get to see the pissed off, blood thirsty side of Silva-something we have never gotten before. This whole situation is a blessing.

I find it funny as hell that Anderson is acting like a bleeding cunt. I can't believe Sonnen is so far in his head, but they have both said some seriously harsh shit to each other and all I can really hope for is that the fight last long enough to enjoy, and that when it's over, whoever wins has the common sense NOT to do something stupid like hold a submission to long OR hit the other one after the fight. I would like a clean sanctioned fight that really gets everyone excited. I think Chael is full of shit, but I also think Anderson has been exposed and Chael has drawn the blueprint on how to beat Anderson. I also think he has got Silva to worked up to be able to withstand the whirlwind of kicks, and very accurate punches coming toward his head. We will see saturday.
I personally would love to see Anderson lose just to see that cocksucking look on his face as he throws a tantrum.

Personally speaking, I would love for Chael to be victorious this time around. Yes I am biased because I am a Chael Sonnen fan, but also because it would most likely set up Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen 3. I can't see Anderson retiring until he really and truly puts a beating on Chael. Not to mention how much money the UFC would make off a third fight. Regardless though, lets all hope that these two have an epic encounter on Saturday.

So , what was Spider thinking ? I really don't care . I can tell you this though , Spider isn't going home with the belt on his waist . It's going to be much of the last fight they had . Only thing though , Sonnen is going to win the belt . And that's that .

People seem to think Silva being riled up is a bad thing... I would agree for most fighters, but I'm stoked to see a pissed off Silva, I bet it's gonna be nasty! If you're sitting in the front row you might get to take home Sonnen's head.

The look on Dana's face @ 1:05:35 is priceless. I think that Chael is going to be able to drag him down and pound on him just like last time and Anderson knows it. I just hope Sonnen has had time to finally look over those Grappling Master Volume 1 & 2 JiuJitsu Training DVD's by Gene Lebell that he got for Christmas.
