Betting odds have been posted for some of the key matchups at this Saturday’s Ultimate Chaos show (props to BloodyElbow for the tip), and oddsmakers have labeled Affliction VP/occasional fighter Tom Atencio as the favorite in his fight against Randy Hedderick, who is 4-3 as an amateur and will be making his pro debut against Atencio. Hedderick welcomes the attention that comes with fighting The T-Shirt Guy; in a recent Ultimate Chaos press release, he was quoted as saying:
So let’s peep those odds, shall we?
Bobby Lashley (-550) vs. Bob Sapp (+400)
Pedro Rizzo (-130) vs. Gilbert Yvel (even)
Din Thomas (-295) vs. Javier Vazquez (+235)
Chris Horodecki (-600) vs. William Sriyapai (+450)
Brett Cooper (-400) vs. Waachim Spiritwolf (+320)
Tom Atencio (-160) vs. Randy Hedderick (+130)
Notes: As expected, Sapp isn’t being given a chance in hell to win his fight against Bobby Lashley. We’re not sure why Chris Horodecki, who’s known primarily as a kickboxer, is such an immense favorite against four-time world Muay Thai champ William Sriyapai, who has won nine of his last ten MMA bouts; of the underdogs on this card, Sriyapai is the one to watch. We also don’t know why Din Thomas is facing a dude who has only fought twice since 2003. Vazquez’s record is decent, but let’s just say ring rust could be a problem.

Look at the records of the fighters that Sriyapai beat. I think they’ve got the odds right.
