Yeah, that’s Tom Atencio in the camo trunks getting his scrap on against David Martinez back in 2005. You have to like the intensity and aggression from t-shirt guy. He is not afraid to come right after you, guns a-blazin’. He went on the win this fight via decision and it cemented his place as the rare fight promoter who actually has the grapefruits to get in and fight. But apparently the positive attention that’s been coming his way since he agreed to his second MMA fight has only emboldened him to get more proactive about painting Dana White as a total punk. First he suggested that maybe Dana should try being an actual tough guy, rather than just talking like one. And now he’s stopping just short of issuing a full-on challenge.
Atencio says he’d fight Dana White "in a heartbeat," but also admits that a) it probably won’t ever happen, and b) even if it did, it would probably be a pretty crappy fight. That’s called keeping it real, people. But honestly? The more I see of Atencio in action the more I start to think he might put a serious hurting on DW if they ever got in the cage together. Just look at this killer:

Haha that camera guy screeched. That would be interesting to see Dana and Tom fight. Dana has a good 50 or more pounds on the T-shirt guy but I dunno. Atencio shouldve won that fight other than way of decision though. That would make him justifiably mediocre at MMA.

i don't know what attencio's credentials are, but dana was an amateur boxer, although that hasn't necessarily translated well to the cage in the past. still, i would pay a dollar to see that.

Haven't we all hated on Dana enough this month... let's move on to someone more deserving and/or likely to be gone in a year- Brock Lesnar. Here's a Q for you all: Why do people freak out about Bobby Lashley and Canseco and so on when Brock did the SAME thing (um, title fight after 3 pro fights?) but we don't chastise him the way we do others. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Canseco should be allowed to fight- even the celeb boxing is too much for him. But, wouldn't it be fare to hate on Lesnar the same way?? I do.

I had to register just to say this. Kinda embarassing, but I let out the screech in the video. I used to work with Tom at the company that ended up becoming Afflicition. We had a wild night in TJ and I was drunk out of my mind! I was filming the fight on my phone and when Tom kicked Martinez in the face I had to ditch the camera and watch the fight! Yes while drunken and stupid I scream like a girl, but it was awesome. I hope Tom kicks the shit out of the next dude. He is really no joke.
