(Sorry, Chuck. If you had your own clothing line, maybe Dana would let you replace the Ultimate Fighter logo with your own brand name. But you don’t, and now you look like an asshole. Photo courtesy of twitter.com/spike_tv.)
The eleventh season of The Ultimate Fighter kicks off on March 31st. Here’s some stuff we’ve learned about it lately…
— According to recent reports by FiveOuncesofPain and Bloody Elbow, the middleweight castmembers selected for the show include KOTC/Bodog vet Kyacey Uscola (18-15), Australian EliteXC vet Kyle Noke (16-4-1; won a unanimous decision over Uscola in September), Victor O’Donnell (8-1; seven wins by submission), Travis Lutter BJJ student Cleburn Walker (8-4), Kris McCray (5-0; all wins by first-round stoppage, three in under a minute), American Top Team product Charles Blanchard (7-2), Warren Thompson (5-0; all wins by stoppage), and Charlie Lynch (6-0; all wins by stoppage). The Boston Herald also reports that Greg Rebello (9-2) and Woody Weatherby (7-3) will be part of the cast.
— Chuck Liddell‘s assistant coaches will be his longtime trainer John Hackleman, highly regarded boxing coach Howard Davis Jr., jiu-jitsu ace Scott Epstein, and Strikeforce middleweight champ Jake Shields. Tito Ortiz‘s assistant coaches will be his longtime trainer Saul Soliz, WEC lightweight Rob McCullough, BJJ ringer Cleber Luciano, and, as promised, a public-relations specialist to be named later.
— Liddell and Ortiz will reportedly have their third meeting at UFC 115 (June 12th, Vancouver), and Ortiz may already be trying to get inside Chuck’s much-smaller head. During a recent TUF 11 media day, Ortiz credited Liddell for winning his battle with alcoholism, with help from Dana White:
Even if Liddell’s well-documented love of partying actually did drift into straight-up alcoholism, it’s probably not something that the Iceman wants Tito discussing in a press conference; let the games begin. For what it’s worth, Randy Couture expressed a similar sentiment in a recent interview with Steve Cofield: "Chuck can do anything he sets his mind to. I think there were some lifestyle issues that were more the issue with Chuck. It’s not that he doesn’t have the ability to fight anymore. He’s trying to clean up some of that extracurricular stuff and focus more on what he really wants to do."

comments@yurko - you almost made me poo my pants. That is some especially funny shit.
How did I ever survive before I followed CP?
That caption is one of the best ever, when looking at titos face , his stupid gargantuan head smile, And the fact that his finger is pointing chucks way!!!!
it sounds just like something that would come out his mouth....followed by the five pounds of 12 years of stale male pornstar semen that he slurped out of JJ's Poontang ......
Instant Classic
Jake Shields is one of the trainers? Wait a second, doesn't he fight for strikeforce? They better bleach the rolling mats after every session or he's going to give everyone staph. Jake Shields bleeds more on a daily basis than when he fights.
Last season was a totally empty freakshow.
"Is it just me, or does Tito look a lot like Matt Hughes in that photo?"
No, no, no....
He doesn't 'look' like Hughes....
He just looks like JUST AS BIG OF A DICK as Hughes.
I have often thought that billionaire's Dana and the Ferttita's brought back "Big head, small IQ" Tito for reasons we have not yet fully realised .... @ PurplePickle ... I believe you are on to something.
That being said though, I'm looking forward to this seasonof TUF and I may catch a lot of flack for going against the grain on this one but, I'm pulling for Tito's team. Love him or hate him you can't deny he's a great coach. I just shake my head when I see all the BS he brings to the table when it comes to his fights but as a coach he is top notch. I gained a lot of respect for him during season 3. He really took an interest in his fighters and pushed them in ways that was truly beneficial to them succeeding(except that last minute training session for Noah Inhofer but screw that guy he pussed out of the show for a piece of ass that was probably banging all his friends back home anyway). He's a very hands on and dedicated coach and I think he may win a lot of people back over if he repeats that this season. I may be alone on this one but that's just my two cents
No head exaggeration required!
I don't really care about Chuck nowadays, but I hope he demolishes Tito.
Very well said sir.
Does anyone sell Tito bobbleheads yet?
Haha!!
you have Davis as your boxing coach... scott 'einstein' epstein as your bjj coach... and a middleweight champ in shields
Epstein has sick subs and he's a 10th planet bjj guy so i'm really cheering for him....
-middleweights (less gassing!!)
-some have good records with all stoppages (we will see technique used!!!)
-neither coach is a champ (no weight classes on hold!!)
-No more Rampage (neither coach is gonna be a punk and go do some movie!!!)
-at least the coaches have likeable personalities (yes, even though he is dumber than a doornail and not truly well rounded like a shogun, some can relate to tito on other levels or believe me the ufc would not be using him, for example the casual fans love tito, just because he has a recognizable name)
Chuck wins: Oh wow big surprise, and now we get to hear more lame Tito "I had a back injury and a skull fracture and I was missing a leg and I had 5 times as much diverticulitis as Brock but I fought anyway..."
Tito wins: Oh wow big surprise, cause Chuck has been on a real tear lately. Now we get to hear the same Tito "I actually went completely blind about a week before the fight so I had to beat Chuck with no eyes" bullshit only without the satisfaction of seeing Chuck take his head off. And he will probably be calling for a best 3 of 5 with Chuck since he now has a win over him.
He looks like a cartoon version of Hughes. Like if you took Hughes' little face and put it on Tito's massive head.
