Wrong sport my ass. I thought I was watching mma not wrestling. Top position doing absolutely nothing but trying not to get submitted while being out struck should never get you a win. Since when is top position a superior position?...in wrestling, not mma.

Guida blows. How can a guy hug his way to a win? Nothing but shoulder bumps gets a win. Guida was out struck on the feat and on the mat. He was close to being submitted. The only good thing he did was not get himself submitted. I shouldn't say that he blows cuz he doesn't...i was just expecting more cuz he is fun to watch. I really hope this isn't the future of mma...i hate fights like kos vs dailey. Wrestlers need to be more like that idiot diego and also like matt hughes...right? Or did I pick the wrong people?

Facts:
- That was Guida's FIRST decision in FOUR fights/wins. All of you LnP complainers need to pay more attention(looking at you newdeal). It not a coincidence that almost every UFC Champion is strong in wrestling.
- Pettis just came from the WEC where he amassed an impressive record. Rewind a year and he is still fighting names like Alex Karalexis. He BARELY beat Ben Henderson on the likes of an amazing kick that if it did not land we very well could be seeing him square off against the Boceks of the LW division. His hype off that kick was incredible...I BANKED on this fight.

*with that said I think Pettis will do well in the LW division as soon as he realizes that highlight reel kicks/showboat kicks = you get taken down 9/10 times. He stayed very busy in guard and was always threatening. Good fight in my opinion.

I don't know why cagepotato was saying in their writeup before the event that Guida was always entertaining...that guy never has entertaining fights, they are always the same and always boring. Guida is the king of lay and pray, shoulder strikes do no damage at all and that was basically all he did. He will never be champ because there are better wrestlers than him out there and a better wrestler will totally neutralize his entire game.
