It wasn’t enough that Michael Bisping scored a mouth-shutting TKO victory over Jason Miller at the TUF 14 Finale, in which he out-struck Mayhem 150-38. Bisping also had the pleasure of earning nearly ten times as much cash as his rival. MMA Junkie released the salary list from Saturday’s TUF 14 Finale, which shows that the Count’s paycheck ate up 49% of the card’s $868,000 payroll (including disclosed bonuses). The numbers are below. According to our sources, Marcus Brimage already spent his sixteen grand on revolting sex acts.
Michael Bisping: $425,000 (includes $150,000 win bonus)
def. Jason “Mayhem” Miller: $45,000
Diego Brandao: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. Dennis Bermudez: $8,000
John Dodson: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. T.J. Dillashaw: $8,000
Tony Ferguson: $30,000 (includes $15,000 win bonus)
def. Yves Edwards: $16,000
Johnny Bedford: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. Louis Gaudinot: $8,000
Marcus Brimage: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. Stephen Bass: $8,000
John Albert: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. Dustin Pague: $8,000
Roland Delorme: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. Josh Ferguson: $8,000

No, I don't have much of an idea about the UK fight scene. Although I do have a favorite from the UK, its Ross Pearson.
.
Besides him, I watched some online video about a new gym in the UK, it looked allot like some of the better gyms here in the US. I don't remember the name of the video, it might have been released about the time that Hardy was in the spotlight.
.
I hear you about the lack of living potential due to the lack of available endorsements. The U.S. is a bit a commute with family at home (for those with family), but on the other hand, there are many good (some could say great) fighters out of the Netherlands.
.
Being that there is better rail service, even Karma is able to leverage and ride the rail to broaden his repertoire. So why not any Brits?
.
I'll throw out one last one for you to think about. Maybe its nothing, maybe its something. Its about the broadcasting.
.
In the U.S. there are at least 6 television stations that broad cast MMA events, nearly every night one can find at least one, if not two programs. Even more if one includes the Spanish stations.
.
How many channels broadcast MMA in the UK?
Secondly...the UFC, and most feeder promotions are mostly based in the US..to break into professional fighting is an extremely difficult thing to do, so for a British fighter it is a much bigger risk to turn professional and make a living..in the US you can make a decent living from a number of promotions..only really cage rage in the uk could support a fighter..so opportunities for fighters are far less...you saw in the US v UK TUF show the level of talent that is there...the problem is these guys come back home and have life's to live...they aren't training and sparing with the same calibre of fighter week in week out.
Thirdly have you any idea of the UK fight scene?
.
True, Brit's enjoy the good match, we get our heritage in fighting on this side of the pond from them directly.
.
Its no secret that of the fighting disciplines, MMA was exploited (along with Crass and GBH hail also) and took off in the US once it became televised - then spread rapidly.
.
Sure the sport existed in Brazil and other places, but the winner usually took home at best a "chicken for the pot", and localized recognition.
.
Question:
.
Since the UK had been adept at fighting since before Drake, Raleigh, and Nelson ruled the seas...
.
why is it that MMA in the UK had taken forever to ramp up...
.
instead relying on the Hardy's (who's had one of the best mohawk since Wattie Buchan) or the artificially and carefully orchestrated career as Bisping...
.
....how far out is the first big wave of naturally gifted and highly skilled MMA fighters from the UK (..and Australia while we are at it?
Over here we don't care where someone's from, we just want to see a good fight - we won't blindly follow someone who's shit just because they're from the same country as us.
.
...Bisping is a home grown fighter, he has gotten soft fights, and because if his popularity - and his ability to sell tickets, PPV's, video games, and clothes.
.
Here in the states he is but a mere smuck, in Canada he is only "liked", but for the Europeans - he is their guiding light to stardom. Especially true, for all the euro Cage Potato members and the youthful wannabe fighters from Liverpool.

Bisping is a very lucky man. If you check the records of the people he's beaten in the last 4 years, Akyiama, both Millers, Rivera, Kang, Day and McCarthy, they are all losing records and or out of the UFC.
.
Meaning that your Pillow-Handed Count has been winning against down and out fighters. He's a middle-of-the-pack UFC guy with some decent technique and no power. A top fighter he is not.
.
Please put him in against a top guy next. Pleeeeease..
And good to see Rampage seems to have given Ariel Helwani a break. Or he's just forgotten who Ariel is.
