TUF 14 Tryout Video: ‘Karmaatemycat’ Appears Among All-Star Cast

Though Jeff “Karmaatemycat” Watts‘s TUF 14 tryout journey was cut short due to his record (more on that to come), the scrappy Potato Nation member does make a brief appearance at the 1:40-1:44 mark of the above video from MMAFighting.com. Had Watts been able to show off his skills for Dana & Co., he would have been doing so alongside such well-traveled 135/145-pound vets as Ian McCall, Bryan Caraway, Nick Denis, Matt Jaggers, Jose Vega, Paul McVeigh, and (as we see in this other highlight vid from KahL-One) Din Thomas. He would have also picked up $100 cash for every submission he pulled off. Oh well. Next time, bro…

Congrats for feeling good about paying for someone else's vacation. I'll remember that next time I want to go on a fun and pointless trip.

How can Karma be any more "smart about it" than he already was? He managed to get to NJ and back on someone else's dime, in addition to meeting Dana White, kicking it with other fighters, and catching 128. Sounds pretty smart to me.

I kicked $10 his way and I'd do it again. No complaints here, from someone who actually sent him money and knew there was only a slim chance he'd make it through tryouts with no pro record.

Well first, it's 'plain' as day, but that's just getting picky. You said you knew the requirements and the requirements were that you had to have 3 professional fights, which you didn't have. Like I said, it doesn't matter how good you are if you don't meet the requirements, and look what happened. Live your dream, but be smart about it. When you have your 3 fights, I'd gladly fork over some money to send you to a tryout. It is true you didn't lead anyone on, and I'll give you that. Instead of going to a tryout where you have zero chance of trying out, how about getting some fights under your belt. Who knows if you're even good anyway. I think everyone is acting like you had a chance, and you followed your dreams, when it's more about you going, knowing you didn't have the requirements, and having a great experience. One I'd contribute to, the other, not.

Great job Karma. Definately worth everyones money.
Let us know when you wanna be a BMX rider, or a tight rope walker, we will fund that dream too.
DangadaDang- March 25, 2011 at 6:45 am
Chin up Karma...well, actually chin down but you get what I'm saying.
GILL-uh-TEEN- March 25, 2011 at 6:35 am
In Karma's defense. He said that he knew he didn't meet the requirements, but that they had looked past that in previous tryouts. If you didn't give him money then what are you bitching about? I haven't heard anyone who donated asking for a refund.

How was I not intelligent about it? I said what the facts where plane as day in the post. Did you miss that whole part? I never lead anyone to anything else.
Kaleb- March 25, 2011 at 12:44 am
I fucking told you so! (there, I said it because it's true)
Regardless of talent, regardless of potential, if you didn't have the fight record, you wouldn't be given a chance. I would have pitched in had you been intelligent about it.
dranokills- March 25, 2011 at 12:13 am
3 points of interest:
proud of ya Karma regardless, I bet it was fun as hell, did you get any autographs?

The luv-train stops here....go fuck yourself halwannabee.

sudos kfc, you are a jealous, petty, skin flute playing assclown, you nor your fagass brother could hold Karma's jock, crawl back under your mothers fatass and feed.
fatbellyfrank- March 24, 2011 at 11:58 pm
I just dont get why people cant give props to a man for having a go, karma's going on an MMA web site and talking about his own personal MMA experiences, he says he's got a fight comin up, we then get to watch on CP, he says he's gonna have a crack at TUF, we see the results on CP, mad props to you Jeff and keep it comin dude, yer talkin the talk and walkin the walk, down here in Aussie land thats the mark of a man, you would be classed as "A fucken good bloke".
P.S. If you go up in weight classes, will you change yer handle to Jeff "Mega" Watts?
frndlylion- March 24, 2011 at 11:19 pm
Showing up counts for a lot. We all know now for a fact karma is straight up. He did exactly what he said he would do and that was make the trip and take a chance. Thats more than a lot of other people do. For every hater here I think he has earned 10 fans.

Get them fights bro and we'll be watching!
newotnek- March 24, 2011 at 10:31 pm

KarmaAteMyCat- March 24, 2011 at 9:36 pm
Not to mention that I think its just adorable that you involved big brother in this to solve your problems Sudo. The guy closer to my record wants to let big brother fight his battles for him. Just saying man! Just saying I think thats cute.
KarmaAteMyCat- March 24, 2011 at 9:32 pm

No tickey no laundry. as they say.. If you don't try you can never succeed. Valiant effort Karma. Keep it up and you may get there someday. and Canadawrestling My pick for Canada's best shot is The "Haggis Basher" John Fraser. The man is a freak. I used to get tired from just watching him train..
CungwantsCookies- March 24, 2011 at 7:24 pm
Where would the world be if all men sought security and had not gambled with their lives on the chance that, if they won, life would be different and richer?
