It’s like someone set our Eras of MMA and Greatest UFC Events of All Time features to music; the above compilation summarizes the UFC’s entire history from November ’93 until now, in just four-and-a-half minutes. If this doesn’t get you amped up for UFC 100 — T-minus five days, by the way — either you’re not a UFC fan, or you have something personal against David Bowie.

Sporting a horrible black eye that was given to him by Forrest Griffin, Frank Mir discusses his mental preparation for his rematch with Brock Lesnar, why the UFC has the best heavyweight division, Lesnar’s unworthiness, and the potential historical legacy of the fight. UFC fighters (and Gina Carano) weigh in on the Georges St. Pierre/Thiago Alves matchup at UFC 100, and it’s just about as one sided as the Henderson/Bisping blowout, with GSP as the clear favorite among his peers. Rashad Evans thinks Alves’s bulk will be a liability in the cage, while James Irvin wants to see St. Pierre lose so that the welterweight division can open up a bit.

If you go back and take a look at the Fitch vs Thiago fight, Thiago had some serious issues while being on his back which allowed Fitch to GNP him into a tko, if Alves hasn’t shored up his ground game then if/when GSP takes him to the mat he is gonna get a taste of what its like to be beatdown. George is rediculously good at keeping opponents down and if Thiago couldn’t shake Fitch off its doubtful he will do any better against George. Thiago may have a slight size advantage but NOBODY has ever thrown George around the ring. I give Alves a punchers chance, if he doesn’t knock gsp out in the 1st round then his odds of winning will drastically decline.
