Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin have really stepped up the trash talk in the week leading up to their heavyweight title clash Saturday night at UFC 116.
Prior to this point, Lesnar has been uncharacteristically sedate in his pre-fight posturing Brock got the itch to flip the script and went "WWE" on Shane in the above video.
"I feel no threat by him whatsoever. I don’t feel any threats by anybody."
Considering Carwin has yet to be defeated and has never fought outside of round one in any of his bouts, he may want to consider him a threat.
Cognizant that Lesnar is likely speaking out of his ass, Carwin calls him on the remark as well.
"Brock can talk all the garbage he wants for this fight. When they close that cage and I see Brock across from me, I want to tear him apart."
I know one thing: Somebody is getting hurt in this one.

Sexyama talks about his decision to sign with the UFC and his desire to earn back some respect for Asian MMA fighters.
"Asian fighters have not been successful in the MMA world. So I need to work harder to reach a level where I can show the world that Asians can compete at the highest level. Hopefully that will give my teammates and other Asian fighters courage to compete at the highest levels."

Chris Leben talks entertaining the fans and stepping up to face Akiyama on short notice.
"When fans pay to watch Chris Leben fight they get what they paid for. I wanna go in there and let ‘em fly and put on a good show. I think I’m gonna’ do a great job. I think I’m gonna’ go in and do what I do, and that’s knock people out and everyone’s gonna’ go home happy. It’s an opportunity that I can’t pass up. If I go out there and win this fight, it’s going to shake things up."

Both are primarily wrestlers, but in the octagon Carwin has more experience. The distinguishing factor for me is Lesnar not being able to put away and finish Herring.
Lesnar rocked Herring early, but just couldn't finish it. A title win over a slower, smaller, much older Couture isn't necessarily a good indicator of Lesnar's abilities. If Mir were a smarter fighter and not tried to stand up with Lesnar in the rematch, Mir might hold two victories over Lesnar. Hindsight is always 20/20.
There are two things we really haven't seen in the UFC regarding Lesnar... that being his chin tested, and working from his back. Carwin's got enough power in his fists and the strength to take Lesnar down. If Carwin lands a big flush right or can gain top control, this fight's over.
The more I rationalize over this fight, the more Carwin seems like the favourite to win. Any other opponent, and I'd say this would be a walk in the park for Carwin, but Lesnar's just too big and too fast for a man his size to say he's got no chance.
