Everybody sayin that Jones is too young, and inexperienced are nuts. Maybe you've never seen any of Jones' fights. It's one thing to just pick Rua, but to make silly statements like that shows you don't know much about the sport. Gerald Harris could be called young and inexperienced, but not Jones.

I like how everyone jumped on the SHOGUN bandwagon.
this is the guy who lost to forrest griffin after his first surgery..
and who has only won, ONE fight where he looked semi impressive.. ( in the ufc )
its a complete mismatch
jones has 3 inches on the dood, and prob 6 inch reach.
jones is a LEGIT 205'er. fitting every ounce of muscle on that frame.
while shogun.. walks in at 201 at times..
just saying. its jones. easy. punchers chance for shogun.

@glassjawsh Bones hasn't made it past the 2nd round in over 2 years (due to smashing). I don't think him gassing out is a very valid concern. I'm sure he will be ready in that regard.

If anyone can stop Jones it's Rua. But I've been on the Jones "bandwagon" and I've been believing the "hype" for a long time now and he has not disappointed me yet. Jones via 2nd round facial reconstruction.

I've underestimated Shogun a lot in the past, and I'm going to do it again. I think Jones destroys him, and does it easier than he did to Bader. Unless Shogun comes out and swarms Jones, and catches him early, I think that is the only thing Jones needs to worry about. If he can get in close without eating a huge punch, I think he clinches, easily takes Shogun down, and elbows Shogun into his next surgery-induced layoff.

I think Bones can pull it off, But I still gotta go with Rua. Too much experience for Jones to be ready for an opponent of this caliber.

Shogun all the way. he knows what its like to be a 23 year old champ and he knows what to do stop that from happening. Hes a killer. Jones is to young to know what that is. I wish they gave jones one more challenge before shogun

also it'll be interesting to see how the PPV numbers are affected because the first hour or so of this will be going head to head with the ratings and attention gobbling juggernaught that is the first weekend of the NCAA tournament (the last set of games won't be over until well after 1130 EST). wonder if DW thought that through?

i liked the rashad fight better, it wouldve been a ticking clock as to whether evans got his lights shut off or if he could hold rua down for 25 minutes, some real drama in that one

as it is, if rua survives the first two rounds, he'll grind jones into dust. Bones has a tendency to gas after 2 rounds. if Rua's conditioning is on he wins this in the later stages

Shogun will win. I don't buy into the Bones Jones hype. He's beat a bunch of declining stars except for Ryan Bader, who's only significant wins came over declining stars. I'm not convinced.
