Scott Jorgensen vs. Jeff “Big Frog” Curran:
Rd.1: Curran jabs and kicks the inside lead leg early. A good right from Curran comes off the double jab. Jorgensen catches a leg kick and drags down Curran. Jorgensen pounds at Curran’s ribs, but Curran holds him in his guard, ties up his hands, and sneaks in some punches. Curran is not letting Jorgensen pass. Nice sweep from Curran, but Jorgensen regains his base. Fancy stuff here from both guys. Curran punches and elbows from the bottom and ties up Jorgensen’s right arm. Jorgensen is in Curran’s guard when the two are stood up. Curran is throwing his hands, but Jorgensen gets the late takedown and finishes the round in Curran’s guard.
Rd. 2: Leg kick from Jorgensen, head kick from Curran, jab from Jorgensen. Jorgensen stuffs a takedown and lands a good looking knee to Curran. And another; Jorgensen has Curran against the fence and is sinking knees into Curran. Curran escapes and lands knees of his own. Jorgensen catches a knee and drags Curran to the mat. He’s again in Curran’s guard but cannot pass. Curran nearly sinks in a finishing guillotine, but Jorgensen powers out. Back on their feet, Curran keeps the jab pumping as Jorgensen charges in behind a cross and takes down Curran. Curran remains active off his back and fires punches and elbows to Jorgensen. Curran is up on a knee; Jorgensen has a single. The round ends with Curran punching at Jorgensen, who won’t let Curran back to his feet.
Rd 3: Jab-cross-uppercut from Curran. Jorgensesn kicks low and is looking for a way to get inside. Curran is getting there first with his hands. Jorgensen kicks low, Curran high. Curran’s nose is bloody now. Joegensen lands a strong leg kick, but Curran keeps coming forward with the left jab. Now Jorgensen jabs and Curran kicks low. Jorgensen muscles Curran against the cage, and both men exchange knees with 2 minutes left. In the center of the cage, Curran’s punch combinations seem to be getting through; Jorgensen stays with the leg kick. Jorgensen stuffs a Curran takedown, lands in side control, and the fight ends with a fiery scramble. Very close fight.
Winner: Scott Jorgensen by unanimous decision.

Anyway, I understand your argument perfectly. Your simply wrong. BJ, has some of the best slipping and parries in the sport, and no one in MMA even comes close to employing a shoulder roll like Diaz. Any comparison of their defensive styles to Chuck's is just ridiculous and indicative of a lack of understanding. Being a good striker isn't about never ever getting hit, but more about knowning you will get the best of the exchanges.
I will agree that GSP's wrestling, makes his striking more effective. Besides his ability to use shots as feints he often uses wrestling to wear out opponents before engaging in striking. That said I was primarily a grappler for a few years before I really got into striking, so no; I see no "shame" in using all aspects of the game to win. But, it must really require some real mental qymnastics to continually tout GSP's striking as being on the level of BJ or Diaz. It's silly. GSP may very well be the best 170 MMA guy, but do we really have to pretend that means all aspects of his game are individually superior. It's just not reality.
But hey, why keep debating this thing? Wait and see. Remeber who told you first; GSP WILL NOT ENGAGE standing with Diaz. He will go to his wrestling and throw a few on the way in and out. There will be no striking domination of Diaz by GSP, unless he's on his back and you can take that shit to the bank.

And way to misunderstand what I previously said, jackass. I only compared them to Liddell inasmuch as they are willing to keep eyes forward and eat a punch to accurately land a punch. That only works as long as your chin holds up, but it doesn't mean they have great boxing fundamentals. BJ throws nicely, but has poor defense. He always has. GSP has a different style, but he also mixes up strikes, footwork, and head movement much better, and guages distance better, as well. He also adjusts to his opponent's game with greater ease. He isn't the greatest striker in MMA by a long shot, but neither is Diaz. Sure GSP uses his wrestling to win... as though there should be shame in that? His wrestling is mixed in with his striking, which makes his striking more effective, and why he won't have issues in dealing with Diaz. And if you think he only wrestles, you should go back and watch his fights. Watch him against BJ, or Fitch, or Alves, or Kos.
I was just pointing out the absurdity of you coming on here to insult other people's arguments, post your argument, and then saying you aren't inclined to argue with anyone about it. If you are so confident that your position is superior to all others, and everyone else is so stupid that you don't want to hear from them, then why don't you go stroke youself off and keep your fucking opinion to yourself. The whole, "I feel the need to tell everyone how stupid their opinions are, and post my unsupported opinion, but warn anyone they better not try to say anything about what I said because they're so stupid" routine is pretty pathetic. And you're telling other people to "grow up"?
GSP has just as much cardio, a better jab, and straighter punches. Perfect example of how straight punches trump hooks, watch the Condit v Hardy. Hardy threw that wicked hook clearly before condit threw that straighter punch, and look who was counting the lights.
GSP, too athletic, too strong, too well conditioned, and you know the magician Greg Jackson will have the winning game plan. I will say this, I would say that Diaz will poke GSP in the eye, and that will be his chance.

Whats up with these Hawaians and Newzelanders (Polinesians in general)?! They're impossible to put away. Like the Kenyans and Jamaicans, they have a super power. "heads full of concrete and stuff"
If you TRULY think that GSP wouldnt trample Nick diaz 19 times out of 20.. I dont know how you hold a job or graduated from highschool. This is not GSP nut-huggery, its just plain FACT. GSP may be too saf eand boring, but he is unstoppable. The only to to see him beat up in a cage is to kidnap him and throw him in with the Jedi. But he's too smart for that. The rumour of going to lightweight was BBBRILLIANT... Greg Jackson's behind that one, i'll bet.
GSP will NOT allow punches in bunches.
GSP will take Diaz down every time, 15 seconds into every round.
" and the winner is ... GSP, 50-45 "
bye bye turd...
(fucking obvious)
How can you claim to be a fan when of both when you clearly couldn't identify their strong points? Or know that GSP gave BJ a "whooping on his feet" before?
.
Diaz was taller, heavier, longer reach, better cardio, just as much a coconut head as Penn and arguably better ground game. How did people think BJ had a chance?
With Kongo's win we'll never hear the end of it from GayT
At least we can all be comforted knowing he's still a "straighter-than-straight" cum guzzling douche nozzle.
