2. Brock can take a punch/kick as good as anyone. You just need to not get punched/check the body kicks/defend etc. Brock took 4-5 good knees from Overeem. That kick to the midsection would have made anyone weak. If you rewatch the tape there is a certian look on brocks face when he takes that kick. It is about the same as the face a guy makes when he takes a big kick in the nuts. I think that kick was on of the best, biggest kicks to the body in UFC HW history. It was big and landed perfect. The reality is, you gotta check that shit. You can't clinch with overreem unless you close off the space. I'm not really defending him. It's more important to not get hit than it is to be able to take a punch.
Just think, on the gambling addiction enabler, what would the odds have been for the fitch fight being interesting and for Mazagatti making a good stoppage in the same fight? Could have made some serious coin there if we only knew...
I was hoping for Brock to have a Rampage moment and be face down and virtually dead to the world after an Uberknee. I suppose folding like a lawn chair and quitting to body strikes is embarrassing enough.
