Things get interesting when Vitor Belfort checks in at the arena. Watching “The Phenom” gnaw away on a towel of crushed ice like a starved animal as he learns that “Rumble” is nowhere in the vicinity of 185lbs makes Johnson’s massive failure all the more unforgivable. Vitor had the option of stopping his cut and fighting at a catchweight, but ultimately chose the path of the professional and made the contracted weight. That 20% of Johnson’s purse probably didn’t hurt his decision.

Someone please tell me why he Vitor is chewing on the ice in the towel (or whatever the fuck that is)

when you chew the ice up into smaller pieces in the towel, and the heat of your mouth all melts it down, and the towel is very porous.
He is sucking the water out of that towel. It keeps him from having dry mouth, which is extremely uncomfortable. It isn't enough water to hurt his weight, but it keeps him from suffering anymore than he already is.
I use to box when I was younger, we all did this to keep from going apeshit crazy during training and weight cutting.

But let's stop the drama at CP over Johnson, sounds like Johnson had some medical problem we are sure to hear about the day after the fight. He will be excused then, and not fired. Betting my Wheathead penny on it if there are any takers?

This said from his mouth direct to Dana was clear, all that talk about un-professionalism now is hype to build the fight.

Im wondering if this was all planned and intentional - make Vitor cut the hard weight while he lays up, and then comes in fresh from no cut to boot. Seeking every advantage and whatnot. I tweeted Rumble's punk ass earlier too, told him I hope Dana fires his fuckin ass win or lose (among other things). Thats the one thing tweets are good for, a direct line to a motherfucker you want to give a piece of your mind.
