UFC 145 Video Hype: Rashad Evans is Ready for Some Payback

Zuffa has been killing it lately with the professional quality of its promos like the one they put out for the Rousey-Tate bout and the “Believe Your Eyes” recap of Jon Jones‘ win over Lyoto Machida.

The most recent addition to the list is this pre-UFC 145 spot featuring Rashad Evans, titled “The Payback.” Clips like these remind me of the top-tier promos boxing fans have been spoiled with the past few years. Hopefully they keep making them to keep fans interested when there’s a lull in action like we’ve experienced the past month.

Now we know how fans of sports like hockey, baseball, football and basketball feel.

I remember Gayshad making fun of Rampage for howling when working out in preparation for their last meeting. Makes sense that he would now do it, after he talked shit. I guess if you just keep winning, you can do whatever the fuck you want.

Rashad has grown on me. I didn't really like the guy on TUF, but over the years he has grown and matured. I will definitely be rooting for him against Jones.

We all know that Rashad does not drink "concrete milkshakes" because he is not exactly known for having a granite chin. I am not just talking the Machida KO but Suga got rocked by Brad Imes during TUF finale. I think that the reach of Bones is going to be the difference in this fight and unfortunatley for Rashad, he is gonna get "lawn-chaired." I still find it curious that Suga says "This is a lot deeper than any other fight that I have had." Considering the war of words with Rampage during their coaching stints on TUF, he must be totally consumed with Jon Jones and come April 21, will Rashad be able to make good on his promises. Damn, fights like this is why I love this sport.

I just hope he can tag Jones with a shot much like the one he caught Chuck with.

My respect to rashad began in his KO of Chuck. But when i saw that last fight against Phil. Just WOW. Blew my mind the level of grappling the dude has. He is one elite MMA athlete. I think it will be interesting who would win a wrestling match between this two though Jones has those damn big limbs. Same as Lyoto and Shogun I wish Rashad all the luck in the world and hope he KO's that big mouth of his.

I never was the biggest Rashad fan but I hope he KO's Bones into 2013. And for a couple of members on here, my dislike for Jon Jones has nothing to do with race. It has 100% to do with his attitude and fake demeanor. End of story. Is he entertaining to watch? Of course. Will I root for him with his current personality, no.
