UFC 94 Danablog #4, + the Return of the Pick-em Contest

You know, it’s nice that even as hard as Dana White works he still finds time for a little fun, mainly by busting the balls of subordinates and playing office pranks on co-workers.  Whatever gets you through the day, right?  Although you can’t help but feel that Dana might not be as fun-loving were he on the business end of these pranks (remember the shock pen?).  But I guess that’s one advantage of being the boss.  The video blog cameraman aptly sums up his situation at the end of this installment, saying: “It’s like National Geographic.  They don’t stop the lions from eating the gazelles; they just film it.”

In other UFC 94 news, many of you have noticed that there’s no official Cage Potato Pick-em Contest for this event, mainly because we’ve been giving away so much stuff we’re pretty tapped at the moment.  That doesn’t mean you can’t still play for pride though, as the more enterprising among you have discovered.

Cool observations. I would love to see Machida v. Silva. That could be a really technical fight, but it also has the potential of both fighters playing it too safe.

@The Powers that be on cagepotato: couldn't you guys just sign a pair of your chonies and give that away? Come on, get creative. Make some MMA bundt cakes or something.

I don't think there's anyone at 205 that can beat Anderson. Forrest would get ktfo in the first round, same with w. silva. Rashad and Rampage have the best chance, but I think they'd get picked apart on the feet but might have a chance if they can get him to the ground. Even then it's iffy. Henderson got on top of Silva and couldn't really do much.

Forgot about Machida, that would be an interesting fight. I'd like to see that one to see who's more elusive and accurate. That would be one technical stand up fight.

bj should be fighting fitch and gsp should be fighting alves. Alves murdered hghes and bj hasn't fought anyone at 170 and won in four years. This is what the ufc is all about, not the next contender but what puts people in the seats. If affliction goes down look forward to more liddel silva fights and less rampage vs evans or rampage vs anderson silva type fights. If someone follows randy's gaemplan against lesnar that isn't 200 fucking years old lesnar is done. If fedor was fighting lesnar instead of herring he would have ducked that first punch and and landed an overhand right which would have stopped this meatheads run at the title. Hopefully he would of ground and pound that big fuck out of mma for good. There is still alot of guys in the light hevay weight division that could smack around the spider, but you probably won't see that fight. The ufc is gonna protect silva until they want a new champ then he will be tested but until then good luck with this gsp vs bj shit. hope st. pierre murders him like when he was in king of the cage with crazy elbow ground and pound.
