UFC Fight Night 17 Card Finalized; Neer/Danzig Still On

The UFC has confirmed the lineup for UFC Fight Night 17, which will go down February 7th at the University of Southern Florida Sun Dome in Tampa; tickets can be purchased here. Notably, the recently arrested Josh Neer still has the green light to compete in a lightweight feature against Mac Danzig. Also on the televised main card, TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah finally has his first post-TUF match against undefeated Ring of Combat vet Nick Catone, Cain Velasquez welcomes Golden Glory striker Denis Stojnic to the Octagon, and Joe Lauzon and Hermes Franca try to build a win streak in the main event. I've been tryin to see Rosholt fight for a while now. He needs to be on the main card, and no fight of Rumble's should EVER be not televised. He and Fioravanti will slug it out too. That's poor planning.

Definately an exciting card from top to bottom. Several of these bouts have the potential to take fight of the night. I'd love to see Lauzon get sub of the night and AJ get the KO of the night.

-When are Franca and Pelligrino gonna rule the world as #1 & #2 in the division.....Kurt promised! (it's hard to keep a straight face even when typing this)

-Is it just me or is Mac Danzig nearly impossible to promote? He's gotta be the blandest person on their roster. And he's fighting Neer? This should be the first fight on the undercard, not a marquee fight

-Luigi Fioravanti vs. Anthony Johnson on the undercard!?! Wtf did he do to deserve a snub like this? This is my pick for fight most likely to make it onto the televised protion after "Rumble" puts luigi on his ass, Tommy Speer style, in under 3 minutes

I am with mayhem (and some other posters) this should be an entertaining night.
Pellegrino vs. Emerson - "Kurt brings it" true and should win but if Rob can pull this off it would give him a solid win adding validity to a fighter that once looked like just another TUF flunkie.

This is a great card, I dont know what you people are talking about.
Just cause it does not have a major name does not mean its not a good card.

Main card
Joe Lauzon vs. Hermes Franca (LW) - this should be a good fight
Cain Velasquez vs. Denis Stojnic (HW) - get to see Cain kill another HW
Mac Danzig vs. Josh Neer (LW) - should also be good both guys are tuff
Amir Sadollah vs. Nick Catone (MW) - get to see if Amir knows more than an armbar

Undercard
Kurt Pellegrino vs. Rob Emerson (LW) - Kurt always brings it
Alessio Sakara vs. Jake Rosholt (MW) - Rosholt is just starting out and has a ton of promise
George Sotiropoulos vs. Matt Grice (LW) - mehhh....
Gleison Tibau vs. Rich Clementi (LW) - Rich is looking to get back in the win colum and Glesion could be fighting for a job here.
Luigi Fioravanti vs. Anthony Johnson (WW) - this is a GREAT fight!!!

This is oe of the better Fight Night card that we have seen in a while...

If Cage Potato would stay on top of things they would know that Matt Riddle vs Steve Bruno has been added to the card 2 days ago. The Johnson vs Fioravanti bout has been moved to the main card.

I think the card may lack star power, but it should be a very solid night of fights. I really want to see Rumble Vs. Luigi.
Also Sakara VS. Rosholt could be interesting. Danzig/Neer I was looking forward to more before the arrest episode. Kind of makes me think Neer might not be in top form for the fight.
