UFC Fight Night 18 in Nashville, Tenn. is not off to a great start. They held the weigh-ins today, and both Jeremy Stephens and Gleison Tibau missed weight, with Stephens coming in a full two pounds over the allotted 156-pound limit. Tibau was only off by a half a pound, but instead of letting him try to cut it they opted to change it to a catchweight bout at 158 pounds. Because hey, screw it, right?
Ryan Jensen and Steve Steinbeiss didn’t weigh in as part of the regular proceedings at all. UFC.com reports that they both later clocked in at 186, but the fight is “on hold at the moment, pending resolution of an administrative issue.” Man, don’t tell me one of those guys has been going to Aleks Emelianenko’s favorite tattoo parlor. Yes, they do great work there, but for the last time it isn’t worth it!

Kampmann is one of my favorite fighters. Sick of people only wanting the same 16 guys to go at it again and again... and again. Think this is a decent card. Hell... would even spend my hard earned buckaroos to see it.

Wow. This card is absolute dogshit. Free or not WTF. Why bother? I'm sure they would pull more revenue and fans in if they would actually put on some superfights instead of filler fights. All the time now with these filler stepping stone fights. Bullshit. By the time we get to see the good fights happen, the fighters are not in their prime. This card is shit. I'll say it again. Shit. Cole Magrino Miiiiillllleeeeerrrr! Oh yeah as a fan from day one I can't wait. I can't wait to see this card and we are sooooooooo luck it's free. Vinsullo: You're right! Lets remove all the "stepping stone" fights. That will really help out the sport in the long run? The UFC know the wouldn't pull any real cash from this event, but that doesn't mean it's not important. You have two guys headlining: 1 is a champion from an org. that's gone belly up (but still with 3 succesfull title defences). The other has 1 loss in the UFC against Nate Marquart (who we all know is shit, right ? hmmpf) and who's the only guy to have beat Thales Leites. Vinsullo. If this card doesn't interest you in the slightest then you are NOT a fan. You are just one of those morons who buy every single wrestling event and stroke you wookie every time you see a steroid buff in his spandex speedoes.
