‘UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos’ TV Promo [VIDEO]

Does Cain Velasquez really deserve the title of “Baddest Man on the Planet,” previously vacated by Fedor Emelianenko? To make it official, he’ll have to defend his heavyweight title on November 12th in Anaheim against Junior Dos Santos, who has dominated a laundry list of contenders and veterans to get his title shot — and he’ll have to do it on network television. God damn, what a fight. And we appreciate the choice of music for the promo; they’re playing up the “MMA is the sport of Satan” angle, but, y’know, in a subtle way. Sorry Stemm, thine days are numbered.

I actually saw Stemm like 5 years ago opening for Trivium and In Flames in Saratoga. They were surprisingly decent.

The above is my first watch and first reaction....I just watched it a second time and yep its affirmed, total crap the music doesn't even fit the fight, whats the crap burning at the beginning man this is going Tap out style, you sacrifice the brand to sell to the masses and it turns over into its self....highly disappointed....

anyhow... this fight is a toss up, both have hella knockout power. edge to jds i think though on that.

grounf game edge goes to cain. all in all it will be a good fight.

Go Junior! Not really making a prediction, as I think both of these fighters are first class. But Junior seems like a genuinely nice guy, from what I saw on his season of TUF. Hell, even Brock seemed like an OK guy. Was nice to see professionals dealing with each other and no time wasted pretending they hated each other.

Cain would be a fool not to keep this on the ground, Junior's take down defense is solid but it will be no match for Cain's takedowns. I'm thinking Cain takes this by submission, remember when Carwin locked on that Guillotine at the end of their fight, Carwin was gassed as shit and JDS still looked like he was in a bit of truble to me. I think Cain's got awesome striking as well but he is a smart fighter and allthough he has confidence in his stand up taking it to the mat will just be too tempting.

I have to agree with Knuckle I am indifferent on who wins this fight I just want to see some fisticuffs flying and with these two it's all but likely. Though I wouldn't be surprised if we got Rick Rolled and Cain tried to keep this fight on the ground.

I don't care who wins either way, the fight is going to be awesome. I just have a hard time believing that Dos Santos won't KO Cain. So in hindsight, this ad calling Velasquez the baddest man on the planet while pretty much making Junior out to be his next victim might be a little overboard.
