The Penn/St. Pierre chapter of UFC Primetime came to an end last night, with both fighters wrapping up their training camps and leaving home for the neutral ground of Las Vegas. It was an impressive final episode, particularly for the music and editing — from Rashad Evans‘s epic pimp-entrance in the beginning, to the final montage of both fighters saying their goodbyes to to their families and moving on by themselves. That running the rock shit was wild. But as was stated in the article "Having Troy Mandaloniz as your main training partner? Not so awesome" Yes BJ you have UFC fighters to train with but GSP was taking down a guy 2 entire weight classes above him and a decent wrestling pedigree almost at will. That can't bode well. However I was impressed at the speed of BJ's transitions on the ground even with the extra weight. I still think his cardio is suspect tho.

Was it Stalone who edited and produced this episode??? It ROCKED I loved the Rashad entrance. Felt like Rocky in Rocky V with the leather jacket and the sweet-ass Pimp hat and the Music was very Rockyish.. I love Rocky and I loved the show. The Rock under water thing dosnt seem like a true test of your cardio. yeah you carried a rock 50 feet under water but does that mean your a true warrior and you can go 5 rounds with a top 5 pound-for-pound fighter don't think so. GSP is gonna win this fight and it won't go to the judges

All 3 episodes were good and the UFC should do more of these. Keep them for the big fights though. The slow motion Rasahad thing was shot well but didnt it seem like they (UFC) were focusing in more on him than GSP at some point. Like all of the sudden Rashad is like Liddel from 4 years ago. Lets see him defend the belt before everyone starts calling him the man and shit. Still dont think he would beat Lyoto or Rampage. Still going to pick Penn in this rematch. I just have a feeling that its going to happen.

This episode definitely gave Rashad like 150% more fans than he had before. I already loved the guy and that entrance was fucking sick. If I was him I would be so pleased about how that turned out. I can't wait to see him defend the title. GSP looks like an absolute monster. It'll be a shame if BJ pulls out the win, (and I think he will), because it'll really show how when it comes down to it you need natural talent to be successful. It'll kind of appear that no amount of hard work can overcome a natural born fighter who trains hard. They don't call BJ the prodigy for nothing and I really agree with his trainer when he was saying that people who "look" the part aren't necessarily the ones to worry about.

I found BJ looking like sad, scared little bitch in this episode. Wasn't it just a week ago that he said he didn't like how he was being portrayed? His comment to GSP - "Go home after your loss, sit on your bed for about 30 minutes....and then go fuck yourself" - really made him look like a dilusional fool. GSP all the way on this one. I know BJ came off like a dick on the show, but like it or not, it's his attitude that made us want to tune in more. That rumor of him walking off the show created a lot of buzz on MMA sites. His shit-talking builds anticipation for this fight more than GSP with his usual "he don't say nice things" style of selling a fight. The ppv buy rate will be higher for this fight thanks to Primetime and BJ's mouth. After watching their first matchup another 3 times last night, I still say BJ won even though GSP outpointed him towards the end. BJ's hands and natural talents will negate GSP's skill and athleticism in the end. I know I'm in the minority here, but I still think BJ takes it in round 3 via rear naked choke.

So you think that GSP is a lay-n-prayer? Amusing. While he was held in BJ's guard their last fight, GSP has shown he can pass to a more dominant position when he needs to now. Plus, back then, he wasn't a BB in JJ, so BJ had a ground advantage that he couldn't do anything with apart from the shoulder-lock attempt GSP stopped late in the fight. BJ's natural talent can overcome people that train hard but don't have talent. GSP has talent but also works fucking hard. Talent can only take you so far but you still need to bust your ass to make it count. GSP will make it count.

Iunno guysss. Just like everyone is throwing out there pics about the fight I will too. I really dont see BJ winning this fight. Yes he's talented, and yes he's quick. But I cant see him even outboxing St. Peirre, let alone stopping his takedowns and defending Georges crazy ground and pound elbows. Hell, he was taking down Rashad. Im not going to guarantee it because its dumb to do that against an amazing fighter like Penn, but its pretty close. I also just really like Pierre more. BJ just seems like the top shit, rich family guy. While Peirre has worked hard and overcome. But thats just my bias. Im just as excited for the Machida vs Silva fight, and im hoping that Silva will somehow pull through. He's a bad bad man, and id love to see him fighting for a championship. Underated to the max too. Oh and yes this episode was great and made me want to go back to boxing, which I stopped a couple months ago. Great editing, UFC should really keep doing these.
