(Not a good day for the brothers Lauzon.)

UFC vet Dany Lauzon was stabbed outside a Bridgewater, Mass. pub early this morning during a fight involving a group in the parking lot of the establishment they had been drinking in. EnterpriseNews.com is reporting that Lauzon was stabbed in the shoulder and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Dany’s brother, Joe was also indirectly injured as a result of the incident.

J-Lau wrote on his blog today that he was on his way to the hospital after getting a call that his little brother had been stabbed and in his haste, slipped and rolled his ankle. Although the UFC lightweight says it’s just a sprain, itunfortunately forced him to cancel a planned goodwill visit to Iraq he was scheduled to make today.

“I was supposed to leave for Iraq for a goodwill military tour today so I was packing up all of my stuff. A little after 2am, I get a call saying my brother was on his way to the emergency room. I rushed out the door and ended up rolling my ankle on the walkway, fell to the ground and then hobbled to my car. I got to the hospital and gimp walked my way into the ER and found Dan in one of the rooms. Luckily everything was okay and it wasn’t a big deal as was originally thought,” Joe explained. “Unfortunately, my ankle is way more jacked up than I realized. I had so much adrenaline going being worried about Dan, I didn’t even notice how swollen my ankle was.”

Bridgewater Police are investigating to attempt to discern the identities of the other men involved in the brawl. No arrests have been made.
