‘Ultimate Fighter: The Aftermath’ Tackles Kimbo’s Loss, Rampage’s Retirement

Kimbo Slice must have had other plans that day, but luckily Roy Nelson and Dana White were free to hang with Amir Sadollah for the latest edition of Spike.com‘s TUF 10 wrap-up show, The Aftermath. Dana does his best to debunk some rumors: No, he doesn’t have influence on when fights are stopped on the show — and how dare you suggest otherwise, Roy — and no, the alcohol isn’t provided for dramatic purposes. All booze is requested by the fighters themselves, not that drunken jackassery has been a problem on this season so far. (Still, Wes Sims can’t stay dry forever.) There’s also an interesting moment where Dana gets on Roy’s case for not joining a major camp. ("I think that it hurts you as a fighter…to not be sparring and training with guys that are going to push you every day.") And he’s still a little irritated about Roy’s post-fight Whopper order.

Later, the panel analyzes what Kimbo needs to do to be competitive in MMA, and Dana addresses the status of Quinton "Rampage," "B.A. Baracus" Jackson: "Rampage [announced] he’s retired because he’s mad at me. And I’m mad at him. It happens sometimes. I’m sure we’ll get this thing figured out, and I’m sure we’ll see him and Rashad fight. I highly doubt that Rampage is really retired."

In my estimation a “very comfortable living” =/= having a good chance of going to the hospital after every time you go to work.

Rampage is one of the few legends who can still fight and the UFC needs him. So he’s taking a vacation to make some dough via a means that doesn’t guarantee he’ll get punched in the face, give the man some time off.

After all, he took two fights he shouldn’t have had to before being offered a rematch for the title.

Acting opportunities don’t grow on trees and the amount of exposure the UFC will enjoy will certainly outweigh the delay of Rampage/Evans.

What real fight fan doesn’t want to see Evans/Silva anyway?

So, are you mad at Rampage because he wants to do something other than fighting? Is he not allowed to change his mind like normal people just because he’s a fighter? You say “sure it’s a real Hollywood movie” and “it’ll be number 1 for a week”, isn’t that good???? I don’t understand why people are so mad at Rampage for living his life the way he wants to. Now, do I think he is really retired…….no, but if he is, I say good for him and best of luck

It’s crap because in all of Rampage’s interviews and stuff he says “I fight, I love fighting, it’s all I ever wanted to do…” BULLSHIT! He sees those dollars so he’s going for the easy money. And sure it’s a real Hollywood movie, just like Van Wilder 2, The Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky and Hutch. It’ll be #1 for a week, just like EVERY movie now, then be on BluRay in a month. These assholes WAY overestimate 80′s nostalgia.(Speed Racer or He Man, anyone? I thought not.)

Difference between Rampage and Huerta is Rampage got a roll in a real Hollywood movie. He’s got enough crazy charisma to pull off a Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson move.

fag stop looking at GUY’s hairdo, we are guy’s we don’t give a fuck if you like it swinging dick, so shut your piehole.
From this Video it is clear big CUNTry didn’t win and doesn’t work for UFC cause otherwise he wouldn’t be running his fat mouth or not training right. Dude is still working out at home, that is because he is unemployed. Which is fine, he ain’t much of a fighter.
The best part of this video is the fact that Dana has enough pull, and power that he can do this interview and allow it to get aired for all to see, and not once feel that anything can be spoiled for any of the upcoming episodes, I can tell that both big FATTY and Amir know damn well not to say anything about the outcome, not even hint at it. And Dana was cool enough to talk about it and not give away anything, that is style.

I wish they woulda shown Roy’s face, as Dana mentioned the things that annoyed him. I think Roy has a higher regard for his talent then he truly has. Dana said it best when he told him to get his butt into a camp.

Also, Amir needs a hair stylist… because his shit looked whack.

Dana needs to be kissing Rampage’s ass right now. Say what you will about him as a person, but as a fighter, who has more clout in the UFC light-heavy division? The champ, sure, but anyone else?

Rampage is the only Pride holdover in a competitive division (I’m not counting Hendo and Silva because of Silva’s Jedi-like badassery) that still has business fighting the best. His resume is second to none and he likely has 4-5 great fights left in him.

Also, fuck Roy Nelson. Your win over Kimbo was lackadaisical at best.
