[Video] Another Reason to Cheer Pat Barry: Fighter Shuts Down Rowdy Fan

We love Pat Barry and we’ve never been too shy to admit it. He fights hard in the ring and is hilarious outside of it.

Barry is the type of guy that takes his job deadly serious but not himself. So when someone as self effacing as Barry tweeted Friday night that he confronted a disrespectful fan in the Minnesota arena hosting the UFC on FX 5, we figured he had good reason to.

In the above video Barry gives his account of what, exactly, happened when a fan booed incessantly and lobbed loud insults at the competitors in the Octagon. We’ll let him do the talking but as a quick teaser – it involved several public admonisments from Barry, a bath room confrontation and at least one standing ovation from the near by spectators for “HD.”

The video is pretty sweet (other than Barry insisting on doing yet another of these vlogs shirtless and from an awkward angle, of course) so check it out. And before you ask, yes, this writer does approve of Barry calling “fans” like the one he described as “roaches.”

If he knew it was Pat berry than he should have known that with Berry's jaw, he coulda busted a fart in Berry's general direction and had him on queer street.

Pat said he won't cut his hair until he submits someone in the UFC and apparently he was serious. Probably should choked the guy out in the bathroom and gone straight to the barber. Gotta like him, though.

I don't know about you guys, but I love having my opponent in side mount on the ground, working short ground and pound as I work towards a transition, and hear some loud drunk guy out in the crowd inspire me with his beer fueled words: "SUPERMAN PUNCH."

I saw Jeff Lentz call a dude out at a Bellator show he was cornering. He did it while the fight was going on. Don't think the guy knew who he was but he he definitely quieted down after he was spoken to LOL!!

Pat is right, but two things to remember:
#1 The guy KNEW Pat was a fighter that's why he didn't get mouthy.
#2 I appreciate the fact that Pat is doing good things like this, but damn it man comb your fucking hair...you look like a PUSSY!

I say good for Pat for saying something to this guy. It sounds like he did it in a relatively non-confrontational way and he was asking a perfectly valid question. He is also absolutely right about these 'roaches'. There are way too many people out there with their delusions of entitlement who think it's perfectly okay to be an asshole to everybody else just because they have problems.
