Brock Lesner is a hell of an athlete in all aspects. He almost went pro in football! He is a beast, and is going to have a successful career in the UFC. Watching this fight many times, it reminds me of when I fought my (former) best friends' grandpa at a cookout. I was a college football lineman, he was 87, sickly, and scrawny. It only took me 2 minutes to put that geezer away, so I figure that I am a better fighter than Brock. Not that my opinion is worth much, about as much as each on here. Brock was very young in the sport for a shot at the title but you can not deny that he won. He landed a fair shot to the button. What would have happened had it made it the 4th round? Doesn't matter because it didn't but now all his fights will be 5 rounds and I think we will see just how he does in the 4th or 5th round with Nogi as I think he will beat Mir. Question is will Brock make the same mistake he did with Mir? Either way, Brock hits hard and yes his fights are a punches chance but no fighter would deny wanting Brocks chances in a fight. However you slice the pie the fight was not enjoyable. At least I didn't enjoy it. Now I'm sure all Lesnar fans loved it and think it was an excellent fight. All Couture fans hate it and that it was terrible for the wrong reasons. The fight was far from entertaining. I've seen better on the street corners. Most of the time they were hugging and doing the UFC Waltz around the cage. I am very very glad I did not pay to watch this as I would have been extremely disappointed. Anyways congratulations on your victory Lesnar and better luck next time Couture (if there is a next time).

Let's be honest, folks. The UFC heavyweight division is just plain weak--has been for a long time. If Dana White wants to put on freakshow fights between aged has-beens and no-talent WWE rejects to bring in the pay-per-views, so be it, just as long as we get some decent fights on the undercard.

He's obviously been working very hard and surrounding himself with good trainers.

i loved this fight, it was very even matched i think. though brock had size advantage but randy is very much experienced and has fought bigger guys before and won. but brock's standup looked more improved and intellegent. now the only things he his missing in his arsenal is stamina (gas in his tanks) and grappling+submissions . once he has these two weapons

i know it's real hard to believe a dude can get that huge w/o synthetic assistance...but there are very rare individual cases where dudes are just that naturally fuking huge (if they in fact work their ass off, train smart, eat smart, and of course supplement smart)...been a long time ago but i went to high school with a dude that was 6'5 265# as a junior in hs- i do not believe he ever took synthetics- red shirt at University of Iowa- starting offensive tackle his freshman year- got married and gave up football his sophmore year.
even if an individual does juice that doesn't mean it's easier for them to get huge...it just allows them to work harder and more frequently...and they are the ones that have to live with the complications.
on the other hand if mma is going to have any weight classes at all they need to make a new one for monsters like Lesnar.
No matter what he does or how hard he tries, I don't think Lesnar will ever shake the stigma of being a "wrassler". You gotta have a heel champ every once in awhile. It makes things more interesting. I don't think Brock is boring - he's got some serious KO power. He's so strong that even a glancing blow (like the one that put Randy down) can knock someone out.
Look I am no huge Lesnar fan but give him his due. Brock has never popped for steroids. He was huge in college. He may do steroids and if he does the athletic commission will catch him. To compare him to Kimbo Slice please. Does it look like he has taken the easy road in the UFC with his last 3 fights Mir, Herring, and Couture. Kimbo has no talent what so ever he fought sub par opponents and was knocked silly by a man paid to stand and fight him because no one thought he could knock him out. Last but not least stop with Fedor if he is truly the best best, and I think he is probably, quit being greedy leave Affliction and prove it.

You're right bro. I was routing for Randy, but have conceded that Brock was the better man last night. Congrats to him. These idiots that are Brock haters don't realize that he was training just as hard as Randy. Stop "wishing" for a different outcome, and just realize that's how the sport goes. Well, I live in Minnesota and saw Brock wrestle at the U of Minnesota. Even in college the dude had to croutch and cockeye his whole body to fit through a doorway. I'm not denying he took roids, but gotta say if he did, they didn't do much.

I don't think this was a great victory for Brock at all. He's what, 60 pounds heavier than randy? All it took was one good shot and it was over. Then again, I'm pretty sure he would waste Kimbo. And Fedor? Fedor would kill all these people over and over and not work up a sweat.

Brock will never be able to go the full three or five rounds his whole body was blue and red he was losing steam fast. I thought Randy did a great job of not letting Brock steam roll him when they were in the clinch and on the ground, it showed alot of wholes in Brocks game. If he fights some one like Cro Cop with the big high kicks he will be in for a big knock out, if they can aviod being hit by those big ass punch's of his. I would like to see a rematch.
Honestly I wanted to believe with all my heart Randy could pull through. But Lesnar is just a beast, and with time he will be amazing. Maybe he is more "the natural" than Randy. Given was nature has given him, and his background, all he needs to do is put time into becoming more technical.

But he is just a joke of a fighter now, since he lost to Brock. But had Heath won, he would have "taken out" a young up-and-comer. And he would have been the one fighitng Couture.
