Video: Check Out Tim Kennedy Kicking Some North Korean Special Ops Ass on Deadliest Warrior

(Video courtesy of Vimeo/MMACOMPILER.COM)

If you didn’t get a chance to watch Strikeforce middleweight and proud U.S. Army Ranger Tim Kennedy‘s appearance on Wednesday night’s special live episode of Deadliest Warrior, don’t worry, we got you.

The premise of the episode was, “Who would win between the U.S. Army Rangers and North Korean Special Ops in a battle?” Kennedy represented the Rangers — the world’s most elite light infantry unit — in each of the areas the team collected data from during the show,  including sniping and hand-to-hand combat. We won’t give away the results, but we will say that we’d want Tim on our side if we were ever in a bad situation.

Here’s how Kennedy summed up a Ranger’s mindset heading into battle:

“The Army Rangers take advantage of every single possibility we can. We want the numbers in our favor. We want the weapons in our favor. We want everything in our favor so that when we go into a battle we already know what the outcome is going to be, and that’s Rangers win.”

At 09:33 while trying to explain who would be involved in a war if North Korea threw a hissy fit, they highlighted "Great Britain" but for some reason (the reason being stupid fucking ignorance) included the Republic of Ireland.

This show was cool when it first came out, but when I saw Spetsnaz beat Special Forces, I stopped watching.

Btw, Kennedy is still in the Army. He has been in Special Forces ever since he joined. He is attached to a National Guard unit in Texas. Though he has not served in the Ranger Regiment, I'm sure he went to Ranger School - hence being called a Ranger. But he is a Special Forces soldier (Green Beret).

On a related note, Tom Lawlor totally gave that victory to Tim Kennedy by refusing to fight him in the third round...

Yes I must agree. The rangers are great but there are still far to many variables to be able to judge that effectively. I'll agree the SAS is superior but we are forgetting the SeaLS, Delta, Polands GROM, spetznaz, MARSOC, and the moussad . All of these forces would be a much more formidable opponent to N.Korea's SOF. Tim Kennedy is still a badass though, and I'm posting on an MMA website from my cubicle. FAIL.

"Kennedy represented the Rangers — the world’s most elite light infantry unit.."
I'll see your "most elite" and raise you, the SAS. Yes, I fucking went there.

Wow. This is embarrassingly cringeworthy, not to mention ridiculous.

This show was just stupid, how can you decide if Rangers will beat NORTH KOREAN Special OPS when they are going against fucking South Koreans thats living in America? North Korean Special OPS train every day and does not hesitate to kill. Also IF Rangers invade North Korea on their turf, they better watch out, it has the making of Vietnam all over again.

this is the dumbest science-based show ever. i cant believe how stupid it is. we don't know shit about north korea and tim kennedy hasn't been a ranger for years right? he trains mma, and the other guy was south korean, so how is that relevant to anything? i didn't watch the rest but i assume its more 'yeah americans kick ass at wars' and you guys sure do.

give me a break, why is tkd/aikido rated so high? that spinning kick that he did at the end of the simulation should have done nothing to the ranger. do they always strip down naked before hand-to-hand combat? lets see them do their 360 jumping back-kicks with 30-40lbs of equipment on them. i like how they were talking about how athleticism means nothing when you're decked out in gear, then praise the koreans for their speed.. when they're decked out in gear.

This just makes me want to see Kennedy Vs. Paulo Thiago. Seriously, though, what a stud. Hats off to him.

that north korean guy should have put his gun down (if he HAD to) in the shadows on the stairs where the ranger would have tripped and lost his awareness and maybe even broken something.

also, i watch north korean tv on the internet and saw this episode on prk-tv, the north koreans won 99.97 percent of the engagements with their super warriors.

the deadliest warrior is stupid now. why would the korean ever put his gun down. i understand u had to work in hand to hand combat but no soldier of any country would put there gun down when the enemy still had a gun.

I watched this last night and am convinced that Tim Kennedy may not be the best 185 in the world but he is the baddest man in MMA. I still think he is annoying and looks like a nerd but he has killed allot of people.

Not a realistic scenario, because they didn't use North Korea's best soldier: Kim Jong Il. Kim would destroy Tim (K>T).
