It’s because they’re sick of boxers not fighting…basically you get to see ‘Dancing With the Stars’ again with Floyd Mayweather, except you have to pay for it this time…On that same night, on that UFC card, you guys can all tune in and you can watch not one fight, you guys can watch five great fights that night, for ten dollars less than what Floyd wants you to pay to see him run around in circles and lay on the ropes and move around and not fight."
Dana White may have muzzled his video blogs, but he won’t hesitate to lay down some verbal bitchsmack recorded against a green-screen when the situation calls for it. And Floyd Mayweather’s anti-MMA rhetoric has clearly gotten under his skin. Dana may have a point about Mayweather not setting up the matchup that fans want to see, but he should be careful about banging that drum too hard. After all, which fight did MMA fans ask for: Lesnar vs. Carwin or Lesnar vs. Fedor? When did we start clamoring for Franklin vs. Belfort? And by the way, Dana, Floyd’s opponent is Juan Manuel Marquez, and he’s fabulous.

He's right about boxing. Its kaotic with no reason or rhyme. But did DW forget that he put off a legit 205 championship bout so Rashad & Rampage could do TUF. And now Lyoto is fighting Shogun Rua (who has a past of being great but hasn't beaten anyone substantial in years). I think he needs to look in the mirror. I STOP LOCKING UP #1 CONTENDERS WITH TUF!!! Great show, but stop taking the best fighters in a weight class and keeping them out of the cage for 9 months!

Dana's a moron, NO WAY am I missing Mayweather v. Marquez for Franklin v. Belfort! Marquez is a real man, something Dana would know nothing about. Not too mention the boxing undercards are actually good now, really good - but I gotta give props to Dana for that, boxing fucking finally took notice. And this is one hell of a HUGE fight, followed by another HUGE fight with Pacquaio vs. Cotto which then will be followed by an ENORMOUS fight between the winner of those two fights. Not to mention I NEVER pay for PPVs, that's what the internet is for!

DW is a moron 90% of the time. There is not a single boxing fan in the world that isn't looking forward to Mayweather's return to the ring, no matter who's in front of him. Marquez certainly isn't Pacquiao but he's a dangerous fighter and deserves respect. 2 of his 4 losses are to Manny and he went the distance in both. There's no reason anyone shouldn't remember his name. If anything it just shows that boxing doesn't have the marketing machine behind it that the UFC does. And like everyone before me has pointed out, DW has not held up his end of the bargain when it comes to putting on fights fans want to see. I wish someone would point these things out to Dana when he makes these outrageous claims so we could get his reaction on camera. Though i'm sure he would just spout more bullshit to counter it.

I mean, that's an interesting tactic by the UFC, but man, did they not think anyone was going to catch onto what that was? I agree with Dana, no one wanted to see this fight against Manuel Marquez but its a lead up fight to the eventual Pac-man Mayweather fight. I think Dana is forgetting something though. Firstly an average boxing match that goes the distance is double the length of your average UFC fight that goes the distance which equals more bang for your buck. Secondly Dana is forgetting the undercard, Boxing undercards go on for hours literally and there are generally some great fights there because they are all guys that know that they need to put on an impressive performance because the chance to fight on such a great card with huge stars headlining comes just once in a lifetime. I remember back when I use to by PPV (back before this whole internet thing) Me and my buddies ordered Tyson Vs Ettienne on PPV and none of us made it to the main event. The card started at 9PM and we didn't get to the main event until about 3AM. So unless Dana wants to start giving people their $50 worth and air the prelims, he really needs to hush up.

Dana is 100% right. Mayweather will dance and HBO commentators will say how amazing he is as he hits Marquez's gloves. Mayweather will NEVER fight Pacman, because Floyd never fights guys who are dangerous for him.
