Video: Dana White’s UFC 120 Blog # 1

When I clicked on the latest episode of Dana White’s fight week video blogs, I was hoping to at least hear the UFC president mention the candid private conversation he had with Ben on Saturday afternoon about Arianny’s Playboy spread, but instead I was treated to the usual inside jokes and inane banter between The Baldfather and his homeboys.

Let’s just say Dana makes Gus Johnson seem like a polite telemarketer.

The thing I find funny is that CagePotato's feverish excitement and weekly countdown to the release of that Playboy issue probably generated more interest and buys than had they ignored it (like MMAJunkie did).

It's like Dana wants to punish CP for acting like obsessed, life-less, pud-whacking, UFC fanboys...

I'd like to go on record as saying that i cannot wait for the BumRush this week.

I wonder if the axiom about "no bad publicity" holds true -- DFW has been dealing directly with CP quite a bit in the past few months.

why in the world would DW be hostile towards CP?

ok, so here's how we get around the credentials problem. set up a dummy website, let's call it "bloody kneecap" that says nothing but positive things about the UFC and Dana White. Link articles from the dummy site onto the CP site like you do with other MMA sites to build up credibility and a fan base. Then apply and get credentials using the dummy site. Use said credentials to go to press conferences and do whatever else that comes with gaining a press pass, using it to write articles for CP. Or, if that is too risky, put the articles on the dummy site then link to that article from CP. Problem solved.

now, we are never to speak of this plan again.
