[VIDEO] Fallon Fox Defeats Allana Jones via Third Round Submission

Video after the jump.

If we weren’t supposed to be talking about Fallon Fox until her next fight took place, then today the unofficial ban has been lifted. Last night, Fox defeated then 2-1 fighter Allana Jones by way of modified north-south choke at CFA 11. Fox improved her record to 3-0 with the victory, and will now fight Ashlee Evans-Smith for the CFA featherweight tournament championship.

Other than that, there really isn’t much to see here. Believe it or not, a bout between two inexperienced minor-leaguers that was bumped to co-main event status due to the transgender status of one of the participants didn’t produce a memorable scrap.

Also, Allana Jones chose “Dude Looks Like a Lady” as her entrance song.

The video of the fight and commentary are available after the jump.

- If Allana Jones was a significant step up in competition for Fallon Fox, then I can only imagine how hapless the first two cans she fought were. Jones can take a punch – and opted to take many throughout the fight – but has little else to work with at this point in her career. Make no mistake, just because you can be a professional fighter doesn’t mean that you should be.

- After watching Fallon Fox fight, it’s impossible to disagree with Peggy Morgan when she wrote that Fox “definitely didn’t display the sort of technical mastery she claims to possess.” While Fox – a jiu-jitsu purple belt – looked comfortable on the ground, her stand-up left a lot to be desired. From constantly leaving her chin up and hands down to the lack of head movement she displayed, her striking needs a lot of work.

- Whether or not Fox holds a competitive advantage over the women she is competing against is still open for debate, but it’s safe to officially kill the idea that Fox is at a disadvantage competing against women for the two, maybe three people who actually believed it. If Allana Jones looked timid throughout the fight, it was out of respect for Fox’s strength. And yes, I’m well aware that this entire paragraph may be one of the most “No shit, Sherlock” moments in’s history.

- Did anybody tell the referee that he’s supposed to be watching for eye pokes? I counted three that went completely ignored.

- Speaking of which, the fans booed Fox in the first round when she attacked Jones after Jones appeared to be poked in the eye. While there is absolutely nothing cheap about continuing to fight when the referee doesn’t stop the fight (also known as that thing you’re supposed to be doing in the first place), Fox goes on to throw a punch at Jones in the second round when Jones tries to touch gloves with her. Not exactly a great way to earn fans when there are already whispers that you’re kind of an asshole.

- Heading into the bout, Fox felt that a victory would put her “only four or five fights away from the UFC.” No comment.

- Since we’re on the subject (sort-of): The Best States To Be A Transgender High School Athlete, via Deadspin.

- Oh yeah, Mike Kyle won his un-retirement fight against Othereem late-replacement Travis Wiuff, since you all cared so deeply about that one.

Based solely on her skills and opponents, should we go back to not talking about Fallon Fox after her fight against Ashlee Evans-Smith? Let us know how you feel. Keep it civil.

my buddy's ex-wife makes $67/hr on the internet. She has been out of work for nine months but last month her income was $15917 just working on the internet for a few hours. Read more on this site

Yeah, Armfarmer, and you have zero evidence that she isn't among that 2%. Given that we're both dealing in speculation, it seems a hell of a lot more reasonable to assume that the ONLY transgendered fighter in all of MMA falls within that 2%, rather than fitting in to your 100% male hypothesis, which, as I've noted repeatedly, is hand-waving bullshit. The reason you don't want to continue this argument is because you can't claim anything without resorting to rhetorical slights-of-hand or the same tired talking points. This isn't a debate, it's an episode of Bill O'Reilly.

Let me get this straight. What you're saying is I can put a Testarossa body kit on my Fiero but it's still a crappy Pontiac?
Thumblaster- May 26, 2013 at 3:32 pm
Fuck it , lets go bowling
ArmFarmer- May 26, 2013 at 3:22 pm
Except that fallon isn't gay, he has a gf. So it would be like any random straight dude from highschool.
RSparrow- May 29, 2013 at 2:57 pm
Ya, what a little bitch.
RSparrow- May 26, 2013 at 2:40 pm
Most know how I feel about Fallon, so I wont jump too much into this one...

But i'll cliffs notes it: Imagine going to high school with an oviously gay male classmate, he may or may not have been made fun of, but everyone knew he was gay. You graduate and move away, and 10 years later you find out he had undergone horomone therapy and has made a living of beating up girls. Does this sound right to you?
ArmFarmer- May 26, 2013 at 10:59 am
If you have 0 evidence that Fox was among the 2% you mentioned, then any ranting related to that isn't relevant. I didn't say all laws are wrong, I just said that the law isn't completely infallable. No, I won't be doing any bible thumping since I renounced my rediculous faith a long long time ago. You won't see me pulling quotes from that repulsive book or any other like it. I have no interest in continuing this pointless debate. I made my points, you made yours, neither of us is going to change our mind.

Pen fifteen and Seth Falvo get tranny-boners from beating women.

@ mrmiss your wrong, the answere to your riddle is penfifteen.
Pen Fifteen- May 26, 2013 at 8:18 am
Also, you do realize your whole line about FF "lying" about her gender status is totally wrong, right? She is legally a woman. There is no extra box you have to tick in Florida if you are transgender. There are requirements you must meet for being on hormone therapy for x amount of time, and she met all of those. There was no deception undertaken on her part, as you seem to think. Maybe try reading this article, so you can get your facts straight:

"My point about slavery was simply pointing out that just because something is legally accepted does not, by default, make it acceptable by any other standard." So what exactly is the standard you're going to use to tell us transsexuality is bad...common sense? Or maybe you'd like to quote from the Bible? Sorry, but if I told you that murder was against the law, would you need a philosophical proof to understand that? Seriously, it's blowing my mind the extent to which you are unable to see the failure of your own line of reasoning.
Pen Fifteen- May 26, 2013 at 8:02 am
Since you're apparently too stupid to do it yourself, here is the connection between intersex and Fallon Fox: a significant portion of the population is born without a definite gender assignment. For the sake of expedience, doctors often force a gender assignment through both surgery and hormone therapy. Quite often, this is done in a way that causes serious problems for sexual identity in an individual due to gene expression that may change over the course of an individual's lifetime. Do I know for certain that Fallon Fox was born intersex? Not all. What I do know is that your claims about her being "100% male" are a load of shit that having nothing to do with the scientific facts about gender development. How the fuck could you possibly argue on that point? You clearly know absolutely nothing the biology of sexual difference beyond shit you learned in a middle school health class.

Like I said you would, you trotted out all your talking points: professional woman beater, mutilated dick, 100% male, blah blah blah. "Our decisions have consequences..." What a load of self-righteous horseshit. The fact of the matter is, someone else's sexuality has fuck-all to do with you, Mike. If you don't like transsexual people, how about you just mind your own fucking business.
smokeyninja- May 26, 2013 at 6:21 am
Meant she herself, haha. Got Fox on the mind... but still regardless... do or don't do, no try
smokeyninja- May 26, 2013 at 6:19 am
Pressured to fight? Take a fight or don't take a fight, it is still on the individual that signs a contract. Whether or not you're ready, feel your opponent is on the same level, ir have a family to feed. Signing your name is ultimately up to you. If a woman is willing to fight jon jones and he himself wants that fight, more power to them .
Mr_Misanthropy- May 26, 2013 at 5:27 am
What do you call a male electrical engineer who gets a sex change and becomes a nun?

A trans-sister! Harharhar har har
ArmFarmer- May 26, 2013 at 1:06 am
My point about slavery was simply pointing out that just because something is legally accepted does not, by default, make it acceptable by any other standard. Laws can be wrong, that's why they are constantly changed and updated. Ok, so 2% of people have gender related birth defects, cool. Care to make a connection between that and Fox? Can you provide any evidence that Fox was born anything other than 100% male? Fox is a man, therefore I will refer to him as he. Why should I be forced to acknowledge him as a female when he is not a female? He is free to mutilate his body if he wants to, and I'm free to continue calling him what he really is. He doesn't have a vagina, he has a wound. Our decisions have consequences, if you can't deal with the consequence that most of the people around you are going to think you are a bit of a freak then don't mutilate yourself. If you don't want hate spewed at you for being a professional woman beater, stop dehancing your performance and fight men. I have never in my entire life harmed or insulted a transgender person directly, and the only one I spew hate at indirectly is Fox and it is not purely because he's transgender, so you can kiss my ass with your "empathy for other people" bullshit. Are we done now?
Pen Fifteen- May 26, 2013 at 12:25 am
I love your martyr complex. No one is forcing you to be "warm and welcoming" to trans people. We're asking you to not act like it's OK to call a transwoman "him" or refer to sex reassignment as "chopping your dick off." Try reading about the history of transexuality and facts about gender development if you're going to talk out your ass about what makes a man a man and a woman a woman. Have some fucking empathy for other human beings. Is that really so difficult?
Pen Fifteen- May 26, 2013 at 12:09 am
ArmFarmer, you are so full of shit. Yes, 150 years ago, slavery was legal, women could not vote....and "deviant" sexuality was also not allowed. Apparently the deep irony of evoking the spectre of slavery to condemn the legal rights of trans people eludes you.

And you think I'm slinging mud at you? Your entire argument is based on handwaving bullshit. Transgender athletes have been cleared to compete in a number of sports. The US nearly had it's first transwoman Olympian last summer, a hammer thrower. Gender testing at the Olympics has ruined numerous careers of athletes with chromosomal structure that did not neatly reflect the man/woman binary you are so insistent about, which is why it has not been allowed since 1996.

Furthermore, you clearly didn't bother to read the link I posted on the concept of intersex. 2% of the population is born without a clear gender expression. Lots of men have ovaries they don't know about. Women can have testes that they don't discover until they have difficulty getting pregnant. There are tremendous variations in body type, musculature, and physical capacities within a gender. Hence, the concept of the weight class. Gender is nowhere near the straightforward concept you are trying to make it. Just because you're fucking ignorant on the subject doesn't make you correct.

But go on, hit all your talking points, tell everyone what a brave guy you are for taking a stand against transgender people. And I'm going to keep calling you out for what you are: a bigot.
randec- May 25, 2013 at 9:17 pm
This is a man with his penis cut off beating a woman. I don't know how you can treat this like sports. It's abhorrent.

Damn, the comments section has really gone down the drain on CP. I miss the good ol' days when everyone would make lame jokes trying to win a t-shirt.

Some sensitive faggot thumbsdownded you! WTF?!?!!1!
5knuckleshuffle- May 25, 2013 at 6:51 pm
Legally and physically a female. I didn't pay a lot of attention in school but I sure as hell don't remember the part in health class where they mentioned the vagina having foreskin.
ArmFarmer- May 25, 2013 at 6:11 pm
But yeah, sure let her fight, what do i care. Just don't go trying to force people to be warm and welcoming to it.
ArmFarmer- May 25, 2013 at 6:09 pm
Also, she is not physically a woman by any means. She is a man with a chopped up wiener and breast implants. Fox does not have the internal organs specific to females, nor real external ones, so saying she is physically a woman is an outright lie.
ArmFarmer- May 25, 2013 at 5:56 pm
Well i have two responses to that smokey. First, there is a lot of pressure on fighters to take any fight. It's part of the "warrior spirit" mentality that is prevalent in mma. Fighters that turn down fights are ridiculed, and fighters that take all comers are praised. So, you could argue that accepting an opponent and being ok with fighting them are two separate things. I don't really care about that, but just playing devils advocate. I dislike fox on a personal level because if she had her way, they would never know. Her first two opponents didn't, and she only came out because she was about to be outed by the media anyway, so was forced to reveal that she was born a man. That's why I find it particularly disturbing when she is called things like "courageous". There is nothing courageous about anything she's done.
