Video: Fedor Emelianenko Upgrades to a Nicer Playground in Preparation for Pedro Rizzo Fight

(Props: 2themaXmmaFitness)

Fedor Emelianenko‘s next fight against Pedro Rizzo is just two weeks away, and judging by this training video recently shot at the Vital Skills facility in the Netherlands, Fedor still prefers to work out under the sun. But unlike his previous outdoor training camp, where he swung hammers alongside Stary Oskol locals in bombed-out playgrounds, there’s a sense of organization and modernity to his current strength-and-conditioning drills, and his set of trainers — which include kickboxing legend Ernesto Hoost — don’t seem to give him any special treatment whtsoever. And just from a physical standpoint, it’s impressive that Fedor can still jump up onto a pair of stacked tractor tires with such ease.

It’s never too late in life to re-invent yourself, and the fact that Fedor is seeking out new environments to prepare for his fight suggest that he’s still taking his career seriously. I’m not saying that he’ll ever return to the top of the heavyweight food chain — but there might still be a lot of fight left in this dog.

This video is abbreviated. They left out the part where they show him doing the drill that involves taking the hammer and smashing rows and rows of tomato cans.

Does anyone else think he looks very awkward doing wind sprints at the end? I dont think Fedor was ever meant to run fast.

Certainly better than the Tim Sylvia "Best-mode" workout tape.

does it even matter at this point if he's taking his career seriously? he says this fight will be his last, and considering he's announced it beforehand, I would be inclined to believe him. his shoulders and arms are looking more defined than usual, but his belly is looking as big as ever. hopefully he goes out on a good note, and we can finally stop talking about him, because all he is at this point and for the past 5 years is a can crusher.

Sad that a fighters management could be so detrimental to such a great fighters career. Trying to think of another fighter in boxing, mma & K1 whos manager screwed their legacy up so badly.

I know there are quite a lot of heavyweights out there that can beat him. But seriously, fedor would have no trouble destroying Mir and he is considered a top 5...
Sure big heavyweights with good wrestling can beat him but other than that... just saying, dont hate.

"it’s impressive that Fedor can still jump up onto a pair of stacked tractor tires with such ease."...................
He's only 35, I'm 30 and can do that, if I can't do that in 5 years, i'd kick myself in the balls... I tell you, no one in good physical condition anymore?? The writer is too busy sitting on his ass "writing" articles...start jumping onto the curb outside your house, work up to it.

Fedors "35" is a lot different than your 35. Odds are.. he's body has been through 20x's what your has been through. So for him to still be doing this type of training, I say, GOOD JOB! I'll say it to anyone who's been training and fighting as long as him. Don't hate. Give credit where it is due. No matter the person.

You hear that, BG?! This guy is saying he can curb stomp your fat ass! It should be known that I am a very selective reader.

Hahahah!!

I wasn't hating on Fedor....I was more surprised the writer doesn't think people can't do things
Because they're 35....There are 50+ year old athletes still rocking it!
Jack Lalanne is a prime example, that guy was a machine!
