Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

[VIDEO] Full Replay of the ‘UFC 158: St. Pierre vs. Diaz’ Pre-Fight Press Conference

(Talk about mental warfare, Diaz has gotten so far inside GSP’s head that the champ has apparently forgotten how to hold his hands during a staredown. Look at him, he looks like he’s trying to restrain his excitement while watching a cheerleading competition.)

The Nick Diaz crazy train continues to roll on, Potato Nation, and was on full display during today’s UFC 158: St. Pierre vs. Diaz pre-fight presser. First, when addressing why he had missed the open workouts — something Nick originally attributed to the UFC’s…I don’t know, flight scheduling? — Diaz claimed that he needed his sleep and that “it was either I miss yesterday’s open workout or I miss this.” Then, when questioned on whether or not he would pass his drug test this time around, Diaz dropped this gem:

I think [at UFC 143] I tested for a metabolite or a nanogram, it was hardly [a trace] so I just did a little more than I did last time so, sorry if I don’t pass the test, but I think it should work out. I’ve passed plenty of them before, unless they just weren’t testing me. I wonder how much they test people around here (glancing at St. Pierre).

Seriously, this guy is like Sir Smoke-A-LotBurt Gummer, and the main character from Pi rolled into one tight, angel dust-laced doober. Are you still questioning whether or not Diaz is the antihero the MMA world so desperately needs?

Check out the full video of the pre-fight presser after the jump for all of these highlights and more, and make sure to swing by our liveblog of UFC 158 on Saturday starting at 10 p.m. EST.

(Things kick off around the 7-minute mark.)

GSP looks tired. He got destroyed at that conference, as Nick Diaz made some very good points about the truth behind some of the "politics" that come to play when promoting fights. GSP better bring his good old boy mood as he looked downright depressed. If he is not emotional "fit" that will be his downfall to this fight. Nick indirectly was pretty smooth with what he did-tried making GSP play into his game-standing up. Mentioned GSP fights boring, and I think that he has made GSP feel now that he has to prove he is capable of standing making it a standup brawl with Nick, a foolish thing for GSP to even consider, if he is....

Nick you are not a martial artist, you are an embarrassment to the sport, for what I saw, you will not pass a drug test, I guarantee you that. And Dana, Come on man, let the media eat Diaz alive with questions, Diaz is like a little baby sometimes he needs to be educated by strangers to learn. You need to keep in mind Dana that you and your employees EAT out of the Media and the Fans, with out us and the media, you will be nothing. So, show some respect BRO.

Y'know Ariel if you read this you are being too nice. My father made his career as a sportswriter and I can say that he'd be damned if he'd ever let someone like Dana White bully him like that. I like like Dana White, but the butthurt here was really lame. Real talk.

Nope, i still do not think he is the anti-hero you guys keep trying to convert him/convince us he is. what Diaz is is a mild retarded, sad figure, who you want to exploit, and is exploited by Gracie. I'm happy the guy found a way to make a living, but if he is soooo broke i would love to see the fees Gracie is milking out of him and his brother. Wonder how many titles Ceasar has that pulls a salary off these two....
Watching them makes me remember what originally made me hate boxing.

Dammit, somebody really needs to have the "Never Go Full Retard" talk with Nick.

hmmm...let me guess: Diaz mumbled a bunch of insults at GSP and then seemed shocked and offended that GSP thinks he "deserves to get beat down". then he threw in some complaints that have no basis in reality and topped it off with an ample amount of deflecting blame for his actions. Is that about right? Let me know when he does something newsworthy like accepting responsibility or forming a coherent sentence that doesn't contradict the previous one.
