I want to hate Jason "Mayhem" Miller’s “Bully Beatdown.” I really do. Not only is it an incredibly stupid idea that bastardizes and trivializes MMA and bullying (both of which are close to my heart), it also features Mayhem acting the fool for MTV. And yet, after watching episode one (which doesn’t work when I embed it for some reason), I was actually somewhat entertained.
Miller brings in Tony “The Gun” Bonello (who was bullied pretty bad by “Ninja” Rua in his last outing) to rough up a guy who’s been bullying his older brother while also paradoxically sporting a tattoo that reads “Family First.” What follows isn’t even close to MMA (one round of grappling followed by one round of kickboxing is obviously some bullshit), but it is oddly satisfying in the way that seeing a bully get bullied always is. Think of it as "Pros vs. Joes" with more personal acrimony and less time wasted on soccer and swimming and other nonsense.

Haha I thought this shit was kinda funny. I wasn't impressed with Tony Bonello, he barely even tapped him out 3 times. You can tell its been "MTV-ized" by some of their comments, but its still fun to watch someone get kicked in the ribs. Too bad he was wearing shin pads.

The bully was fucking sweet, they should've had Bonello beat the hell out of his brother for being a little shark fin having nerd who gets his head shoved into walls. And I thought they would MTV the shit out of it with explanations of what a leg kick is and shit like that, but they actually did a pretty good job with it along with the editing of the fight.

Bully Beatdown wasn't to awful for an MTV production. Mayhem is a perfect fit as host with his crazy maniac laugh that he does(often) it really bring the the show together pretty nicely. I was ROFL at this (bully)Dude who was thinking he had a shot at really winning against a real MMA fighter. Nice attempt but you got put in your place little country.

Best part about the show by far was when "Mayhem" (god I want to hate him too) made fun of the bully for having a Hummer,while Jason's hummer, the one that he JUST DROVE TO THE HOUSE is in the background. YES!!!

The one thing that took me out of the show was Mayhems jacket in the ring. Was the air conditioner on? Even the dorky metero was just wearing a T-shirt. And Mayhem kept "popping" his collar or whatever while watching on the stands. It was really annoying.

I love this. shit is hilarious. say what you will about mayhems crazy ass, he is entertaining as hell. when he rear naked chokes the tv host I was dying of laughter. i can't wait for the show. i was a skinny dude who took Jiu Jitsu and now I take down and choke or tap out wrestlers twice my size with relative ease. So I feel the pain of the beaten down.

I really enjoyed Bully Beatdown, but I think they need to use the standard five minute rounds. It was difficult to submit the bully three times in three minutes. I also enjoyed seeing Big John. Mayhem is a good host. I will have my DVR set to record this guilty pleasure every week.

I want to hate bully beatdown. Mainly because it is produced by MTV and 99.9 percent of their shows are trash. Mayhem will get me to watch this show. The guy is a riot. Light hearted and tons of crazy. It's also nice to see some bullies get beat up by a MMA fighter.
