Video: Jon Jones and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (And Dr. Phil) on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

(Props: JimmyKimmelLive via MMAMania)

I gotta say, Jon Jones and Quinton Jackson‘s appearance last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! wasn’t the tense shout-off that we were afraid it would be. The UFC 135 headliners needled each other at every opportunity, but it was a light-hearted affair for the most part. No, Dr. Phil didn’t try to smooth out their rivalry. Quite the opposite, as you’ll see in part two after the jump.

Jon’s best line: [to Dr. Phil] “You’re a doctor…what’s wrong with this man?”

Quinton’s best line:
[on Jon's ears] “I thought you were the first black gremlin.”

@ Spittin in the wind, 100 percent agree, I find it offensive that fighters talk about god, but if you mention god is make believe suddenly you are the crazy one. Also I agree Rampage is not funny, when Rashad accused him of buffoonery there was a lot of truth in that.

Funny stuff! They both have a good sense of humor. Should be a great fight!

Exactly why i fukkn hate Vitor Belfort and this douchbag... well said spittin into the wind and macreadyshack...on top of that, these religous zealosts always look like they are constantly spewing bullsht. Jones and Belfort are perfect examples. Phony ass cocksuckers...

Damn, spitting in the wind, well said on the Jesus topic. Yeah, Jesus wants you to win - you keep on believing that. I have so much trouble understanding how grown-ups can believe in something that's so obviously a tool of social control and or a business (read: money-making) enterprise (read: scam). Baaaaaaa ...

@Spitting into the wind
CP has actually already laid the ban hammer down on thanking god during the postfight interview. Just for your edification.

His supposed cockiness doesn't bother me. A man that good at what he does deserves to carry himself with a certain swagger and level of confidence. Yes, he does come across as phoney at times but any more so that Rampage? Not for me.
What really gets my goat is all the bullshit god-bothering that happens after his fights( and Ben Hendersons).
Look if you believe in that nonsense good for you. But don't inflict that fucking codswallop upon me. I've just spent the last how ever long it took to watch you beat the everliving fuck out of your opponent, I dont need to be preached to or informed of your belief in fairy tales. I came to watch a fucking fight not listen to a sermon.

It is about time the almighty banhammer of cagepotato came crashing down on this reprehensible behavior! (my apologies if it already has done so.
After saying all that, I hope he rips Rampages head clean off his shoulders on saturday night. I hate that shitface. Never has someone come out of tough looking like more of an asshole to me.
And I'd see people praising him on websites for being so funny! Fuck me!

@bgoldstein I posted on the Facebook page and the post about them being on from yesterday. During the monologue, they showed the clip of Rampage getting all humpy-pumpy on your reporter. Not the best publicity, but the logo was nice & big on the mic on my tv screen.

I like that Dr. Phil seems to know immediately that Jones is a tool. I think ‘page is in Jones’ head. Still think he’s likely to get elbowed to death.

Jones: “What’s wrong with this man?”
Rampage: “Dr. Phil keeps it real. Hey, he keeps it real. I wanna know what’s wrong with me. He keeps it real.”
Phil: “It’s purely the people you’ hanging out with, that’s all.”
D-man420- September 20, 2011 at 9:09 am
Whats up with the hate on jones? What cocky things has he done or said?
bgoldstein- September 20, 2011 at 7:43 am
@NomadRip For real? Don't fuck with my emotions, now...

Must be _really_ uncomfortable sitting next to the guy you're about to duke it out with for real in like 5 days. Oh lawd.
ArmFarmer- September 20, 2011 at 7:11 am
Any time Rampage gets on national TV and doesn't embarrass the sport, I'd say it's a win. I thought they both conducted themselves well, which is kind of shocking, but they both came off fairly respectful and funny. I liked it. I can't stand Jones though and hope that somebody crushes him. If not page, then maybe machida.
KarmaAteMyCat- September 20, 2011 at 7:01 am
That was pretty funny. I don't know why people wouldn't enjoy that.
dranokills- September 20, 2011 at 6:50 am
It don't matter who wins Johnny cocky Jones is a douchetard and his day will come.
I would like him to get knocked out and humbled by Rampage, cause Rampage can be the better man and shake his hand, but I promise cocky bone won't be man enough. He's a damn kid with great skills, and one day his number will come up.
Austin3210- September 20, 2011 at 6:49 am
DVR'd it and watched it this morning. Pretty boring.
NomadRip- September 20, 2011 at 6:13 am
No mention of the CagePotato logo that was on screen for a minute or so during his monologue?
